Whats up everyone. Just joined the site because Im looking for some advice to help build some muscle. I am 19 years old and Ive been lifting for a year or so. For some reason I am not gaining any muscle but instead I am jsut getting mroe difined, there is no real result. I know I am getting stronger becuz I can put up more than I used to be able to but by the looks of it I am still the same skinny kid. Ive been extremly skinnny all my life. I weight about 150 and Im like a friggen feather. Can anyone help? Thanks alot.:hmmm:

Welcome MelendezA32

in order to gain ya gotta fuel your body and that means eating more. be sure to check out the diet/nutrition stickies. welcome :).

Two things to consider:

1) Are you eating enough? Check out the guide on diet/nutrition and it explains how important the right diet is in muscle building.

2) Are you doing too many reps at lower weight? Generally speaking you should do sets of 4-8 reps on heavier weights to build muscle bulk, and 10-15 reps on lighter weight for toning. Perhaps your routines are tending towards toning rather than bulk building?
