A top Democratic official conceded Tuesday that the health care overhaul should have been "more precise" in acknowledging the possibility that some Americans would lose their current insurance plans -- even as the White House defended its past statements on the law.


The admission from House Democratic Leader Steny Hoyer comes after a 2010 document emerged that predicted millions might be dropped by their providers.
The document helped explain why thousands are already getting cancellation notices and being guided toward new plans. It also gave new meaning to Nancy Pelosi's infamous remark, shortly before the complex legislation was approved in March 2010, that "we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it."


President Obama, back when he was promoting the health care proposal, did not use many caveats in assuring the public they'd be able to keep their plans if they wanted.
"If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor, period," he said in 2009, during an American Medical Association conference. "If you like your health care plan, you'll be able to keep your health care plan, period. No one will take it away, no matter what."

I state that as someone that thinks that uninsured people need health care coverage.

What we have here is a scheme by in which young healthy people and former insured people that bought insurance policies of their own choosing are being forced under law to have those policies terminated and buy insurance plans that they may not want or need at a higher cost.
In some cases people 50+ are going to have to buy ACA plans that include maternity benefits, a useless benefit to them that drives the cost of their plans up.
So that the government can redistribute wealth via Obamacare.

This crap deserves consideration of the impeachment of Obama for lying to the American people.

The employer mandate starts in less than one year.
Wait until those plans start being terminated by employers and tens of millions of people then join the current millions of people receiving notices that their health care plans are being terminated.

Young single men will have to buy health insurance plans that include maternity benefits that drive the costs of those plans up as they are embedded in all plans.

I'd like to see universal coverage for people...I really would but so far its an abomination

we're in open enrollment through work now...and the ACA stuff is cheaper than what were being offered with new plans but if we take it we lose dental,vision, life insurance and long term disability.

we've used everything in there except the life insurance (thank god)

the kids would keep dental and vision but we'd lose it....I can't afford to lose dental especially and life insurance even less so (I've had cancer and cant get coverage otherwise)
I'm really at a loss as to what to do because the new insurance being rolled out at work covers less and costs more. A lot more. Its doubled in the last three years while coverage has gone down.

a good friend of mind is getting fucked hard with this if it happens. He cant afford health care right now because he just got medically separated from the marines and waiting for all his disability to come through at 90%. He just started his own company and after personal investments hes going to be at a loss this year to get it started. Its a mobile detail company that piggy backs off our custom car shop. So he does allot of high end cars ie lambos, porches and ect were talking 1000$ details. It just takes forever to get clients built up to generate steady revenue.

Back on track... Obamacare is forcing him to get medical now, being that he owns his own company going to a private insurance with the recent increase of rates is insane for him. Obama care is high as well because it is going off of his W2... Wait you ask why the fuck is it going off his W2 when he is out of the marines. Went from a house hold income of 80k to now nothing, living with his mother in law until his business takes off. So he cant opt out of insurance... With his W2 income via the obama care calculator his penalty is 7k for his wife and him if they dont have insurance.

I guess this is how Obama take care of their vets who get fucked up during the war.
