What gets me about the FDA and diet drugs is it seems pretty well documented and conclusive that there is a pretty large number (not gonna throw a statistic out b/c there are too many diff ones and varying numbers) of obese and overweight people in america. This obesity is linked to all sorts of health ailments, diseases, conditions and what have you.
But they seem very reluctant to back diet drugs to give people a tool in combating it.

I dont know if this is because they're being too careful after the phen-phen thing or b/c they're isn't that much out there that really works or simply not a lot of drug companies are looking into it.
