Okay guys, first post here. Been working out for four years now and something has bothered me ever since I learned more and more about bodybuilding and steroid use. First of all, I didn't use AAS until a month ago, but have never been opposed to them. Before using AAS and even more so now, I have been annoyed with people that use the term "steroids". This can be the media talking about its use in sports, or people saying something like "oh that _____ is like a ______ on steroids", referring to something that's bigger than normal. and what really irritates me are the people that refer to non-anabolic steroids as steroids just to like make themselves feel cool or something....you know....the people who brag about getting a steroid shot for allergies. I've read a lot of forums and haven't once seen a post about this, and I figured I'm not the only one who gets annoyed. Let me know what you think.

I think you're over reacting a bit. AAS is an acronym for Anabolic Androgenic STEROIDS. So to refer to them as steroids is politically correct. I'm on steroids now and have been using steroids on and off for many years. There's nothing wrong with that statement.

Your annoyed because u feel u know more and others know less therefor they shouldn't speak about something they don't know about sometimes I do get mad when my wife's friends start throwing out bs they've heard about roids... I don't care what people call hem I just wih teu educated themselves before trying to tell anyone especially me about them

to be honest it shouldn't matter what other people think most of us are here to obtain knowledge about AAS and to help achieve our personal goals. So if somebody in the gym comes up to you and says hey i got this shot and its pretty much like steroids just tell them good for you! You shouldn't worry about what other people think. A way i think of it is that you just need to be extremely selfish when your training. You are training for yourself so for the most part just keep to yourself and don't worry about what everybody else is doing or saying.

I get what you're saying. It pisses me off as well.

Steroids are illegal, are demonised, yet lauded in a positive way as a measure of greatness.

Mainstream media can suck my balls :coffee:
