Hi,

I live in Toronto and I'm skinny. Weigh around 140lbs (I think, going to check it out soon).

I'm re-starting my workout programs, and I'd like some help on which protein shake supplement I should get. I'm trying to get biceps, broader shoulders, abs, thicker thighs amongst other things.

Currently working out for 45 mins or so 3 days a week.
I like ordering from SNDCanada as they're fast and efficient.

Some help on what I _should_ order would be helpful.
Thanks.

Forgot to mention, I have a little gut, and it's slowly going away. In the end, I'd like to have atleast 30-40lbs of strictly muscle mass.

My current workout regime is:

10 mins of cardio, elliptical machine.
Elevated pushups: 10
One Arm DB squat: 10lb db x 12
45 degree lat pulldown: 37.5lb x 12
Jump squat DB - 10lb x 12
Elevated pushups - 10
Split squat jumps - 12
Band row seated - machine shows 2, 4, 6, etc. I chose 3(lb?) x 12
Shoulder press - 15lb x 12
Stationary lunges - 10lb x 10 each side.
Russian twist - 30
Arm curl - 37.5 x 12

Once I get somewhere, I'll be switching it up a little bit.

I really like Optimum Nutrition's Gold Standard whey protein powder. Mixes easily and tastes great. Also, you get 4g Glutamine, plus some BCAA's with it.

Gets my vote. Good luck!

What Stonewall said above, Gold Standard by Optimum is pretty good. I also like Myozene by Bioquest. I know there are more knowledgeable members here than myself, but I have been lifting for a number of years and your workout time of 45 minutes seems a bit short to me. I see your routine and if I understand this correctly, you are doing one set of each exercise? You may want to post a question in the "training" forum and have some of the members review your workout. Also check out the sticky's, especially the one regarding P/RR/S. If you want to jumpstart your body this is a great article.

I'm 46, 6'8", 265lbs, and I work out about 1-1/2 to 2 hours 6 days a week. One night I work chest and back. Next night I work shoulders. Next night arms and legs (including forearms and calves). Everynight cardio and abs. The main thing to remember here is that no one in this forum has the perfect answer for your body. What works for one may not work for another, however there is a plethera of great ideas and information here. Trial and error will earn you experience and eventually you will find what works for you. Another tip; muscles like human nature are creatures of habit, keep changing the routine a little bit to keep those muscles growing.

Finally remember this: A plan without committment is just a plan. Don't get discouraged, keep working hard!

I workout for 45-60mins(depends on the amount of hiit cardio) 3 days a week. thats all i have time for though.. and i do full body(a, b days).

Anyway optimum is a good quality protein.. i ate it for years, but dont like it anymore. allthewhey is a good protein, i use mrm's

I always get Optimum from SNDCanada in Hamilton.

Thanks for the Optimum recommendation guys. Got myself one.
