Racism

This (I'm not rascist btw)
when I ran a roofing company we had a bunch of mexican subs..I was constantly on roofs fixing their fuck ups.. made me insane.
And they'd never send their fuckin invoices on time then cry when their pay was late...I had to calm down more fricken mexicans.

they were fast as fucking hell though..for what they were paid and how much volume they put out it was worth it for the company to send me out to go see what they fucked up and either fix it myself or drag one of them up there with me to fix it while I babysat.

man I don't miss that job.

I was building houses in Summerlin. The Mexican crew working down the block would cut early, about 2 or 3PM. We'd work until 5 or so. One day, after they left, we went down to their site and put levels on everything. Nothing, and I mean nothing, was plum or level. And, unless you're willing to sawsall and re-shoot everything, it's not fixable. It was so bad that not even drywall could fix it.

That house was built with the quality that had made Mexico the great country that it is.

I see nothing wrong here......:coffee:

Yup, same thing happened with the auto industry. It is often times cheaper to patch up things or pay out settlements in lawsuits than it is to do the shit right from the start. Long-term will lose you money though as reputation and quality go down fast, but hey, who's really thinking about the future anyway.

I'm reading a book that made that exact statement.

I like that line on the front of the book "the Kaizen way". Now if memory serves me correctly and without the help of google; Kaizen means something like "constant improvements in all areas of life" or something similar. My old B-ball coach was huge on this concept.

I just looked at a property yesterday that had something similar going on with its breaker box..but according to HUD its fine....play through

Mexicans do things cheap and fast which has huge appeal. If you don't know the shit is all fucked you think your getting a great deal. My father in law hired his Mex neighbors to put up a bathroom in his garage, halfway thru I showed him all the fuck ups. That was like 4 years ago and the bathroom is still unfinished. I'm gonna post pics in this thread so you all can see what they think drywall will hide

You are correct. The funny thing -- something that I learned from the book -- is that the concept of Kaizen was brought from the USA to Japan post-war. Then the Americans let it go, while the Japanese took it to heart. Then it came back to the USA in the 80s.

In the last neighborhood that I lived in, a neighbor brought in some Mexicans to re-tile part of the house. A few days after the job was finished someone broke into the house and took almost everything. They went to the house of one of Mexican workers, where they found a lot of the stolen property.

Thinking about it, that story pretty much sums up America's relationship with Mexico.
