michio kaku Is a professor at both princeton and new york university writes textbooks on string theory and quantum theory. Which is fairly relevant to nuclear behavior. He was one of the first authors of scientific papers of string theory. He is Actually a brilliant mind that has lead the way in modern sciences understanding of partical physics. I own two of his books... hes a rock star of modern science.He believes that this is serious issue that may change the oceans for a very long time.

It's unquestionably safer. Even when you include the easily avoidable incidents at Chernobyl and Fukushima it's safer than current energy sources.

I agree that nuclear energy is the future, I just found this ironic.
He also states that the situation is no where close to undercontrol. And the Inherit issue with nuclear power is that there is a point where nuclear disasters become very hard to control. Thats why this whole situation is hush hush. They have idea what to do. Thats also why the international community has not jumped in. They dont know what to do either.
There are six reactors at fukashima.two are safe. Three are hot. One is out of control likely in the water table. Filling the water table voids with hot steam. And its near an ocean. Imagine what could possibly happen to a pressured water table under 3 hot unmitigated nuclear reactors and millions of gallons of stored nuclear waste. In a earthquake prone area. One sinkhole in the wrong spot...
Nope but unhealthy oceans are just getting sicker. Most of us will live through this but I think our oceans can only take so many hits And this oone is going to hurt way more then we know it...yet
I think we can all agree that we're raping our planet nicely, whether its from nuclear power plants or coal mines. Except SAGD plants, those are a gift from god and you fuckers should embrace the oil sands like its the next coming of christ.

This is not inherent to nuclear. Newer designs require no action to be taken to avoid a meltdown.

No see, im with nuclear power. I believe we will destroy ourselves with fossil fuels faster then with nuclear powers. I just dont want a nation to have a nuclear reactor who cant control it. Japan cant control it. If japan cant control it. Can north korea, iran...etc control it. This isnt a oil spill in remote sector of north dakota. These incidents effect the neighbors and the neighbors neighbors.

Like it matters, but if I had my druthers, I'd go with coal and keep the phuq away from radiation. Keep that shit in outer space or x rays and that's it....
