Ronda Rousey Finally Breaks Her Silence After Crushing UFC 207 Defeat

Once again, Ronda Rousey is the name on everyone?s lips when it comes to UFC 207. She?s known for being the poster girl of UFC, having made a name for herself after winning 12 consecutive fights before losing to Holly Holm in November 2015.

Rousey's latest opponent was Brazilian MMA artist and bantamweight title holder Amanda Nunes. The UFC 207 bantamweight women?s championships was held in the T-Mobile Arena in Los Angeles, and bookies touted Rousey to win the match. With odds on Rousey to win, the whole arena was in shock when Nunes obliterated Rousey and won the fight in 48 seconds.

Nunes was very vocal about her win, saying that: ?When I asked for this fight I know everything. I prepare in my mind, my spirit and body for this moment. I know Ronda Rousey is bigger. I know they love Ronda Rousey. But no one is taking this belt from me.? Rousey, on the other hand, was a little less talkative. After the fight, Rousey fled the arena and did not speak to any press, or did she make an appearance at the post-match press conference.

Ronda Rousey has finally spoken out, and her statement wouldn't go amiss in an Oscars acceptance speech. Speaking to ESPN in a statement, Rousey said that "I want to say thank you to all of my fans who have been there for me in not only the greatest moments but in the most difficult ones. Words cannot convey how much your love and support means to me."

?Returning to not just fighting, but winning, was my entire focus this past year. However, sometimes ? even when you prepare and give everything you have and want something so badly ? it doesn?t work how you planned.?

Rousey continued, saying that: ?I take pride in seeing how far the women?s division has come in the UFC and commend all the other women who have been part of making this possible, including Amanda. I need to take some time to reflect and think about the future. Thank you for believing in me and understanding.? Although Rousey lost to Nunes, she was still paid $3million and that?s not including sponsors. If someone could tell me how to earn $3million in less than a minute which doesn?t involve violence, then please do let me know.
