My wife related the death of a young woman at her hospital in detail some time ago. This was a case of flesh eating bacteria growing out from and within a woman's vagina after delivering a beautiful baby. The details have really stuck with me even though I never saw.
I guess you can discount this kind of thing if you are the.. "It will never happen to me type." Still it's worth a post.
