I saw this last night, it's been sort of a Halloween tradition my wife and I have had since the first movie. I was a bit disappointed, first of all it did NOT need to be in 3D, secondly the story line sucked and I felt like the entire movie was rushed, and it lacked an intro, middle, climax and end.

Thanks for the review. I've seen just about everyone in the theater. I think, I saw the last one last Halloween, and said I wasn't going to see anymore. The idea of 3D and Saw seems very cool, but none of the story lines have been any good after Saw 3, in my opinion.

I'm a movie buff and a horror freak and for some reason I think all of the Saw films suck. They had a lot of potential however they just became very monotonous in no time at all.
"Hostel" on the other hand was brilliant but each to their own.

the first 3 Saws were good IMO, the last 4 not so much, the latest being the worst.

I liked the Hostel movies, hope they make a third.

I thought the gore-factor in the first Hostel was way greater, but I did enjoy Hostel 2.

that and the shock factor of the first, we knew what would happen in the second one.

That and I thought the production was way better on the first one, but it could have been the DVD I watched it on. I was surprised Quentin Tarantino was one of the producers and the quality wasn't way better.

michael weiss is still writer
scott speigel is director

Since Eli Roth wrote and directed the first one, and I think the second I bet this one won't be anywhere near as good, but maybe I'll be wrong.

The first one was amazing after that you knew what to expect, should have stopped after no.3.
There not even decent now just predicatble B rate movies.

I agree with Prince, Saw 3D sucked big time. Virtually no story line.

Reminds me of an episode of Two and a half men where there in the future and in front of a movie theater and it says Saw 33. lol.

It's just a brand now, just cranking them out like mass produced Halloweenie treats, like the orange and brown candy corn for this time of year or Peeps for Easter....

You know what I watched yesterday? Fear and Loathing and What Dreams May Come on a mild mushroom trip....both those movies hit me in places so called horror movies can't touch...Bad memories of jaded nights where I thought I was going to be hauled away because my brain was trapped in a drug or the fear of dying and being trapped in a nightmare.....

That's what happens to any good horror movie. Look at Friday the 13th, Halloween, A Nightmare on Elm Street, etc.
