So what can you guys tell me about sleep?
Does it play a vital role in muscle regeneration?
Can [over/under]sleep affect your metabolism? (and F-up your diet)?
Is "early to bed, early to rise" the best advice to follow for all lifestyles?
Or is simply a waste of time?

Well, whatever you have to say about sleep, I'd love to hear it! Thanks! ;)
 
Yes, I remember an article in which Skip Lacour mentioned he didn't remember much of the events of that year because he slept so much (10 hours a day). I prefer to get 8-9, 9 optimally, otherwise honestly I will be tired at some point the next day. In high school I always slept 9-10 hours.
 
I often giggle about how much time people spend worrying about how much sleep they get!! There is a wonderful 'suggested' time of around 8 hrs sleep needed for the body to recharge and muscle to mend.......but in the real world.....you grab what you can for as long as you can!!!

Im a shift worker with 3 kids under 8yrs old!!! Ever since my eldest was still hatching.....my average time for sleep is a neat 4 hrs...nothing has changed.....the body adapts and runs on this till the environment changes!!!

So my 2 cents worth is........stop worrying....and take what the body needs!!!!!!!
 
i sleep around 14 or 15 hours :D
 
man 12 hours of sleep last night and i'm still tried :D

hmmm i'm gonna go take a 6 hour nap cause thats what 6 hours is to me :D then go eat a bunch of junk food go to a party then come home and sleep some more:grin::D

well part of it was true i did eat alot of junk food but no party or sleep :shrug: but i got all day to sleep :D
