sportwear ideas and other things

hi everyone...i am desperate need, i have been online searching for over a couple of hours and it is time to put the kids to bed and i still have no idea of what is the best type of sportwear to decide on. i don't have a formal introduction yet but i will soon. i didn't plan on joining but this is the only way that i can hopefully get some assisted.
does anyone have an idea... should it be sporty, sexy, both, funny, active wear or what. i am planning on competing in a few months and trying to get things together while i have extra money.
i have read just about everything and know things are starting to get bunched together and i have know idea as where to start.
i also have made arrangement for a photo session next week and basically i have know idea about that either... my brain is spinning and the kids need to be in bed... i will check back in later but any advice would be greatly appreacated and taking very seriously....

As far as the photo session, take things that are fun! Things that fit you well and you look good in. Have you asked the photograther what type of a shoot they are expecting?

Also...as far as competiting...do you plan to do figure or bbing? This is needed to point you in the proper direction.

i am doing figure. the photography and i are both on the same idea... some things related to fitness with added causal and some head shots. there will be aleast 4 session so there should be enough time with each one to get something that we both want... i have been looking at magazine photos trying to get idea on posing, clothes, etc. i am just nervous being a newbie and all.
