Hey, new to the forum but not new to bodybuilding. Just turned 34 and i am looking for some supplements that will take me to a new level. Very interested in pro-hormones, specifically androstenetrione. if any one out there has tired this product let me know if it works, and perhaps any known side affects. Thanks.

I believe that is a suicidal inhibitor of the enzyme aromatase found in 6-oxo that would mean it is not PH

I took Andro combined with Tribulus terrestris, EAS myoplex shakes, creatine monohydrate and some estrogen limiting agent I forgot the name of a while back with awesome results. Gained 40lbs in a couple months but my mood took a turn for the worse. Ended up tossing a guy upside down in the dumpster before I realized that the steriod like effects where getting the best of me. Got off the stuff and then lost my motivation for working out and laid off a while eventually loosing what weight I gained. Have since worked very hard at trying to get it back with just torrent, multivitamins, and a solid diet. So far so good, but still no where near the size I was.
Good luck, but be aware that for me the results were too close to steriod use (which I am not willing to risk). It is outlawed in professional sports for a reason.

Here is a list of possible side effects I pulled off the internet from taking Androstenedione.
-Androstenedione supplementation may lead to elevated plasma estrogen concentration, which can lead to breast development in men, breast cancer, and pancreatic cancer.
-Using Androstenedione may lead to kidney and liver damage.
-You may also experience acne problems and oily skin - acne is associated with testosterone.
-It can lead to premature baldness in men.
-Taking Androstenedione can enlarge prostates, reduce sperm production and increase aggression.
-Can also lead to testicles shrinkage, infertility, loss of libido, and even impotence.
-Androstenedione can disrupt female menstrual cycles.
-Deepens voice and increase facial hair growth, and can also cause enlarged clitoris.
-Can lower HDL cholesterol (the good kind).

it'll boost your test, but I wouldn't be too worried about any sides.

I believe that is one of the ingredents in 6-oxo i believe the steriod is a dione and not a trione i could be mistaken and maybe this person meant the other but if i am seeing it right it is the the 6-oxo ingredent a AI

Yeah, I picked up on what you were talking about, but since he mentioned prohormones I suspected he meant the "-dione" variety and that is why I spelled it out that way and not the way he first did. But in hindsight I should have specified more clearly, because obviously I cant read his mind and I shouldn't make assumptions. Thanks.

what? no, androstenetrione (6-oxo) is sometimes used as pct,
it's an anti estrogen, not a steroid or pro-hormone.

The studies I've seen (I think baylor was one) were not good for 6oxo as a standalone. The users gained fat and did not have a significant improvement in physique/lean mass. I wouldn't waste money using it as a standalone, unless MAYBE you have low test already and want to test it. If your test is normal, however, total waste IMO.
