Thinking about adding BA to gear.

Hey guys, just got a fair amount of gear from a quality source, but just to be on the safe side, I was thinking about adding some ba. I want to remove it from the pop-offs and re-filter (through a .22 whatman) in to 50ml bots. How much Ba should I add? I've heard everywhere from 3-7% (I'm assuming that's 3 or 7% of 50mls of gear) Any help would be greatly appreciated.-Thanks

Bro, where are you getting your 'info' from? adding BA at this point really won't help, if your gear has bacteria in it.... straight BA will kill MOST bacteria, which is why there is a specific order that you use when 'making' gear... Once it is 'watered down' to less than 50% it is no where near as effective at killing bacteria....

that being said, BA and BB do help 'preserve' compounds in oil... (at 'normal' 2-3%/10-20%, respectively) from becoming a 'breeding ground' for bacteria...oil, in itself, is not highly conducive to growing bacteria.... BUT, if one were to introduce a strain of bacteria that could survive and replicate in the 'given environment inside a vial with AAS in oil', the BA is not going to kill it.... at that point(2%/20%) it is mainly just a solvent and preservative)(it does help to a very minor degree, but is not to be considered a sterilizing agent at these levels...or any more so at 7%..or 10%... or 15%..etc,etc)

bringing your solution up to 7%BA will do two things:
create a slight 'numbing' effect upon injection(right after it burns like hell)... because of the way that it will interact with the nerves near the injection
cause the tissue at and around the area of injection to die, and slowly turn to 'a mucus like substance' as it is completely destroyed by the Benzyl alcohol content(%) that you injected, and will be resorbed by the body... leaving an indentation where the injection point was.....

BA, in concentrations above 5%, is necrotic to tissue...(on top of the fact that BA is not the greatest chemical to be putting in your body(though necessary, but only in low quantities1-3%..3%MAX).. IT CAN BE CARCINOGENIC!!!

If you want to filter the gear, have at it... good luck with the .22....

A lot of UGL's, not all... (some make very high quality gear..some, are better, imo, than some pharm gear...) Use higher BA content than is necessary anyway... so adding to it... NOT A GOOD IDEA!! AND IT WON'T DO A BIT OF GOOD TO STERILIZE IT IF IT ISN'T ALREADY STERILE...
If you don't trust the gear you got, don't take it!!!

If you have doubt in The possible effects of what BA can do to your muscles at the injection site.... put it on an area of skin that is thin, and a somewhat sensitive.... such as your nutsack... or snort a little up your nose.... see what it does.... now multiply that times 1000!! your muscle has absolutley no way to protect itself from chemicals such as BA(that are injected)... the cells just die, and you are left with an 'indentation' or 'hole' where the muscle died and 'dissolved'!!!

Overburdened summed it up

Yep, filtering gear is what sterilize it, not BA. BA is only a preservative that will extend it's shelf-life and prevent any bacteria from multiplying. But it will not kill any bacteria that is already there.
