Octopus intelligence

Octopi have been documented opening jars for years. They use coconut shells as "cover" when they find them, using their tentacles as legs and actually running away and playing with the shell. Those in captivity are adept at escaping their tanks. The one at the Camden Aquarium in NJ (George) has escaped a number of times, plays children's games and regularly has his dinner of crab served in a sealed bottle.
