Too much water..

Im drinking water like crazy and Im taking big crystal clear leaks like every 15 minutes it seems like. I am getting ripped and getting in great shape but how much is too much water?
 
Not sure there is such a thing as too much water. Water is essential to the body, and whatever you don't utilize you will piss out...so just keep chugging away. Water will NEVER harm or hinder you, UNLESS you are a competitive bodybuilder and are shedding H2O prior to immediate contest performance, or a fighter prior to a weigh in, but then and only then is it a "hinderance" when really it is only an aesthetic thing and not a health issue. Drink up man. If you can consume it, more power to you.

100% correct death has occured in rare instances with too much water intake i would say between 1 and 1.5 gallons spread through out the day should be good.
 
I may have been to narrow in my response. Just being on a water diet is not beneficial. But on a sound diet and making sure you replace all your vits/minerals doctors say you can drink up. You simply cannot just drink water to cut or shred so apologies if I came across simple minded or miopic.
 
Hey Threat...dickhead. Read your references and you will note that it refers to such consumption as drinking contests like 10 liters in a matter of mins. The kid posted he was just drinking alot of water and pissing. Water intoxication occurs RARELY and only in extreme cases. If the kid had stated he was trying to drink a bathtub a day then I would have said WHOA!!. Don't be a cock.

In the military basic training one thing they drill in our heads is to not drink to much water as it can cause hypnotremia...I think thats what it is called or something close. Anyways, too much water will drain electrolytes and other important stuff out of your body....to determine how much water you would need to drink you need to access your activity level. You can tell you are properly hydrated by the color of your urine. Clear is good, yellowish and you should prolly drink somemore....now if you start feeling dizzy, lethargic, or sick and your urine is clear and you are going consecutively there is a chance you could have intoxicated yourself be overdrinking. Taking a leak every half hour to an hour is healthy. I over drank water in basic....mainly from crazy ass TI's, but it is not fun. I try to drink no less than 64 oz a day....urine is the best way to tell though...just dont get carried away...about the ti's making us sick they made us chug our canteens for 2 hours...when we got done we had to hold it above our head. When the last person finished we refilled them....we repeated this sequence for over 2 hours....some people threw up over 4 times. Very dangerous,... not only that but if we took too long drinking...we had to either do pushups or up downs. I dont think you will have this prob...but just an example of overdrinking.:D
