“I don't think there's any better color that you can achieve, black or white, if you go in and you do a great job of tanning a few weeks out from the show and then you use whatever you're going to use Jan Tana or my favorite was Pro Tan, but you use that to accentuate your color.
There's no color that you can paint on the day before the show or the day of the show and have that be complete. It's just not possible. I'm old school with tanning. And obviously I'm black, I mean the last time I looked. But I would go in the tanning booth five weeks out before the show and tan five days a week. And then I'd go and put on three coats of Pro Tan Wednesday, three on Thursday, two on Friday, and then rinse it all off on Saturday.
When it comes down to the nitty gritty of just a couple of guys up there and they’re trying to decide why this guy should be ahead, it really comes down to it.”
