Willie Nelson started his new Cannabis Brand, CBD Coffee beans

A long time marijuana advocate, iconic-singer songwriter Willie Nelson along with his family is debuting a new line of CBD products the coming year, and the first product has just been released. : infused whole-bean coffee.

Called ?Willie?s Remedy Whole Bean Coffee,? the product is infused with certified organic full-spectrum hemp oil grown in Colorado. The coffee itself is sourced from small farms in Colombia?s Santuario region and includes three bean varietals: Castillo, Colombia, and Caturra.

The company describes the coffee as a ?medium-dark blend with balanced acidity that packs a powerful aroma, with flavor notes of cherry and cocoa.

Nelson?s wife Annie is overseeing the Willie?s Remedy brand and has plans to release other products in the coming year, including topicals and confections. ?The Willie?s Remedy line is a purposeful departure from Willie?s Reserve,? said Annie Nelson. ?It?s not about getting high, but it?s still all about Willie and the benefits we believe cannabis has to offer.?

As cannabis? popularity has increased, so has the number of celeb-branded cannabis products. Some of them come from performers whose careers are already synonymous with marijuana: Willie Nelson, Snoop Dogg, Tommy Chong and Bob Marley?s family among them. Such rappers as Wiz Khalifa, Ghostface Killah and Master P have also dabbled in the weed business. So have retired pro athletes including former NBA star Cliff Robinson and ex-NFL star Ricky Williams and even Mike Tyson who all launched product lines. Meanwhile, mainstream stars Whoopi Goldberg, Montel Williams and Melissa Etheridge have leveraged their celeb status to get involved in medicinal marijuana-based projects.
