Woods' mother-in-law in 'stable condition' in Florida hospitalBy Michael McCarthy, USA TODAY
Tiger Woods' mother-in-law is in "stable condition" after a 911 call from Woods' Orlando-area home.
Elin Woods' mother, Barbro Holmberg, a Swedish politician, was admitted early Tuesday to Health Central Hospital in nearby Ocoee suffering from stomach pain.
"Last evening, Barbro Holmberg, mother of Elin Woods, was admitted to Health Central Hospital with stomach pain," hospital spokesman Dan Yates said in a statement. "She is in stable condition and undergoing evaluation."
The National Enquirer and US Weekly have reported Woods engaged in extramarital affairs with several women. Woods apologized to his family in a statement last week saying he regretted unspecified "transgressions" with "all of my heart."
That set the stage for the latest act Tuesday morning when multiple TV stations in the Orlando area reported medics took away an unidentified female patient by stretcher from Woods' home in the gated community of Isleworth
Doctors are treating Holmberg at the same hospital Tiger Woods entered after his Nov. 27 crash.
