:confused: Paul Anderson, Listed June 12, 1957, Guinness Book, for lifting 6,270#. The greatest weight ever raised by a human being. The only super heavyweight olympic weight lifter to EVER take home the gold. Bullboy
 
he was an incredibly strong guy!!
 
I dont get it, did lightweight guys take the gold the other years or is it supposed to stay with the olympic organisation and Paul just stole it?

i think he meant to say the only AMERCIAN weightlifter to take gold in the olympics.

One Arm Press: 380 pounds, 300 pounds for ten reps; this 380 pound lift was the greatest lift ever lifted overhead with one arm; both were witnessed by Paul Magistratte

Backlift: 6270 pounds, witnessed by Kara Whitfield and Maurice Payne, included in the Guinness Book of World Records
