He had a 5.00 ERA and still managed to win 17 games, but with that lineup who can'tYes and no I mean he is a vet and should be able to find ways to win and that just wasnt the case. BTW I heard today they are lookin at Mulder.
I never cared for half the pitchers they bring in, Wright, Pavano an old Johnson? You will have your exceptions, but just seems the talent they bring in start to fail them.
Who the hell knows.Yeah why in the hell did they bring wright in? wierd.
There weren't too many good pitchers available at the time and those that were didn't want to come to NY.Yeah I couldnt figure that out. Got all this money and they bring a chump in.
Well NY is dirty, loud, over crowded, crazy people....Crazy people, who wouldnt want to come to NY. I could see not wanting to go to Philly.
No way! He wipes his ass with $100.00 bills. My point is, he has much more revenue to work with. I'm sure he draws the most so of course he's spends the most.
Are you implying George isn't turning a profit?
At least he spends it on his team, if you were to look into other teams owners you'll see some of them pocketing the money. My point is, he has much more revenue to work with. I'm sure he draws the most so of course he's spends the most.

I can't disagree with that.Everyone knows hes making a profit, but he is spending more on his team then anyone else in baseball and probably more than many teams combined.

If you take a look at those numbers you'll see a decline 2 years before he became a Yankee.
