World Gym...What's happened?

Looks like they've changed their marketing approach to a more mainstream fitness crowd.
their new slogan is "welcome to the real world"...right, because we all know world's gym is famous for catering to people like the skateboarder in their slide slow
weren't they bought out by the same company that wont let you grunt in their gyms?

They were bought out by Planet Gheyness I think, or at least the Worlds in Mobile was. Planet Gheyness is growing like crazy.
I know it is all about marketing and making money, but I just hope that enough gyms stay real, rather than selling out to the new pussy culture.

Apparently, bodybuilders aren't real people and bodybuilding isn't real fitness.
Having said that, the chick in the white spaghetti-top is gorgeous.

There were some beautiful women at the Mobile Planet Gheyness, but they were beautiful when they signed up. I never saw any of them make any noticible changes in 6 months.
But, that is what the place is now: a social club.

Hehe, a lot of people make that mistake. When I am on the phone with customer service, they pronounce it mobile like mobile phones.
I workout at World Gyms... I go to two different ones... A while ago in spring, they got a new paint job switching from plain white with blue and yellow trim to more warmish colors... At first I hated it, but I'm used to it now.
Equipment, layout, and rule-wise nothing's changed and I hope it stays that way...
My manager at work said that Planet Fitness bought World Gym and they plan on having two branches, Planet Fitness for the more family/friendly/pussy facilities, and the World Gym branch for more serious trainees... Whether or not that's true I don't know... Anyone I've asked at the World Gyms I go to say they don't know anything about it.
