I already know the answer, but I am curious about what you think. What are People blaming on religion that they should be blaming themselves for?

Everything they don't like it life.

The majority of people don't like gays? They must be religious nutballs! Let's not bother considering the idea that a large percentage of men don't even like the mental picture of two guys getting it on. Even men that aren't religious.

Both sides try to overplay the role of religion in society.

What it comes down to is that religion is an easy target. People in power tend to have it, it's not a single cohesive group, and it's not a particular race or nationality.

Even beyond that, the idea that everything is "some else's fault" is so rampant in our society that the idea of a structured moral base that says you must do good or go to hell is anathema to them.

I agree a 100%. And that goes for everything, not jus religion. Parents blame everyone else when their kids are fucked up. Politicians blame each other when the shit hits the fan. New Orleans citizens blame the government when they didn't get the fuck out when an F5 hurricane is headed for them.


I don't blame American Christians for anything other than the ass backwards laws and rules here in Alabama. All I ask is that they keep their nose out of political machine. I don't want to stop them from going to church, stop trying to make me prey in school. Why is that such a hard request?

And I would gladly stand up and help the Christians fight for the right to practice their beliefs if the government started imposing restrictions on them.
This is about fariness. I am not against christin's either. My best friend in this whole world is a devote southern Baptist. I love him, and I would die for him. My mom is also a strict southern Baptist. Many people in my life are Christians and I love them, but they don???t try to make me live my life like they think I should. They accept me for who I am, and I accept them for who they are.

This is a major problem here in America. It started in the 60s and has only gotten worse. Your correct about parents and nearly everybody else not wanting to take responsibility. Everyone is trying to blame everyone else for their problems.
