my son says after i'm 100 he's going to buy me new organs every year for my birthday.

Surgery is so 20th century. Give it another 50 years and it will be completely obsolete. With biotech and nanotech, we will be able to repair whatever is wrong on a molecular scale. We are already starting to use nanotech to deliver drugs to specific cells. This technology will get better. They already have things like wheels and hands that are only several molecules wide. It is just a matter of perfecting these things and putting it all together.

Disease and injuries become fairly trivial once you can intelligently manipulate all matter on a molecular level.

nanobots will pwn the world.

Well there's only one kind of organ i want to recieve...and it doesnt involve a transplant

ohhhh

...and a side of intravenous nutrient injectibles.

Thats what I want. To not have to worry about eating every 3 hours. We could wear a backpack that delivered into our bodies all the nutrition a lifter would need.

I like eating to much to want to be fed through a tube.

Yeah, I've thought of that, would come in damn handy...

Induce hypothermia so that the brain will survive with minimal blood flow, then using special nano-pumps and tubes set heads on a template with the tubes acting as couplers and gently line up each nano-coupler to it's corresponding new place and remove each tiny pump which is pumping an outside source of blood until all connections are made....then slowly reverse the hypothermia and the system should slowly adjust to it's new control center...

maybe they can pull of a Robocop 2 type deal, you know, take the head and the entire spinal column and transplant that to someone else, that way the spinal nerve would be intact, could all the other nerves regenerate to attach to the new spinal cord???

I know, and why is the one on the right sporting an extra chromosome? Must be an earlier model.
