Man to be sentenced in case of puppy being fed to snake | Top Stories | FOX11AZ.com | News for Tucson, Arizona

Remember the name, Joseph E Beadle. If he moves in close to me, I'll kill the motherfucker.

Anyone see the Criminal Minds episode where a deranged unsub feeds a woman to a pack of hungry dogs? That's what this low life needs.

Man who fed puppy to snake gets jail, probation

The story I linked was older. The jerk off got 90 days, and since he was in for 51 days already, he is going to serve only 39 days. Unbelievable.

JD I can't wait to see you post about something you really feel strong about ... :thumb:

What kind of puppy was that anyway?

You buy baby mice, "pinkies," from your local pet shop for snake food when the snake is small. When it gets bigger, adult mice. Bigger snake? Feed it rabbits. All of these are OK. The snake needs to eat right?

Please explain to me what makes feeding a baby dog to a snake so much worse.

Simply because people like dogs, or as my wife would say "because they are cute".

You're a moron. Of course the snake needs to eat, but not a fucking puppy.

I hate most dogs. Most dogs are poorly trained, annoying, and not cute. But, I would have trouble feeding a puppy to a snake. To me it would be like feeding a kitten to a snake. I could never do that. Although, I guess it is tough to place a monetary value to a living creature's life. What makes dogs and cats more valuable than reptiles? I don't know, but to me different animals have different value. I don't value the lives of cows are chickens. I have little sorrow from eating a steak or a slow baked chicken.

Its strange how we perceive these things.

Being a moron myself, I'm still confused as to what the difference is between a puppy and a rabbit. Especially as far as the moral and ethical considerations that allow legal action and penalties go, I see no differences at all.

In my opinion, i think it is wrong to feed snakes (or other animals that eat them) dogs, cats, rabbits or any other animal that you would consider as a "pet". Now before you jump the gun here and say, "well people have mice/hamsters as pets too", there is quite a difference. Like Kelju said, animals have different values and dogs/cats/rabbits normally have a very high value in contrast to other animals because they are loved and cared by us humans. They are more intellectual in a sense and it would kill me to see a dog or cat die compared to seeing a mouse getting killed because you're generally used to it. You may not see it the same way i do but i really love my cat and i would without a doubt kill anyone with my bare hands if they ever tortured her in any way.

What it comes down to is what makes one animal more important than another. I used to have pet rats, they were really cool and fun to play with. I don't see how you could feed one to a snake, but do understand that a snake needs to eat and will eat whatever it chooses in the wild. Personally if the judicial system is going to get involved then they will need to get involved whenever any animal is feed to another. I don't think this is a place for the judicial system to get involved.

I remember that thread about saving your pet or saving someone's life. Who'd we lose?

1. Dogs are eaten by humans in other countries. Rabbits are eaten here in America. I'm not so sure about cats so I won't go there.... BUT I would argue that this is a cultural issue, not an "us humans" issue. However, I am a moron because I don't agree with your particular ranking system for animals. Is everyone who is different from you a moron?

2. This was not torture. The dog died quickly by suffocation. Hungry snakes don't have time to torture their meals.

3. There is also no evidence that this puppy was loved or cared for by humans at all, and if that was the case the criminal charge would not be "cruelty to animals."

Next time the cobra in my back yard needs a feeding, i oil you up and throw you in there. He's in for a treat ;)

Mice, rabbits, dogs, and cats are all ranked the same to me, if there is no problem with feeding a snake mice or rabbits... I don't see anything wrong with feeding it a dog, the only reason people think this way is because dogs are very popular as pets. What about the people that have mice, and rabbits as pets, and love them... Unless the dog was someone else's loved pet, I see no reason why "this SOB needs to die"

Humans are not ranked the same as mice, rabbits, dogs, and cats to me.

I did not call you a moron for stating your opinion, I called you a moron for calling squanto a moron.

1. I don't care what people do in other countries. That is their culture and lifestyle. We're talking about America here. In this case, the majority of Americans believe that killing and eating dogs and cats is morally wrong (but this isn't what we're talking about here). We're talking about feeding a dog to a snake, which is in my opinion, unethical and cruel because dogs are loving animals.

2. I wasn't using the term "torture" in context with the article. I know the dog died by suffocation but i was just saying on my behalf if that was ever the case

3. Once again, it doesn't matter if the dog was cared or loved by humans. You're kind of missing my point. The value of a dog is much higher because of the way we perceive them. I can gaurantee you that the majority of people consider them as intellectual pets that deserve to be treated equally.

I apologize for calling you a moron. Your comment just threw me off for a bit.

mice, and rabbits aren't "loving animals"? Show me a study that states dogs are loving animals, and mice & rabbits are not.

That's fine, i respect your opinion but i don't agree with it. To each his own.

I was just using dogs as a prime example because like you said, they are generally the most popular animals as a "pet". The same applies to rabbits and cats as well. Dogs and cats are not really "snake food". I'm certain rabbits are snake food so i will disregard them. Yes, people also love mice and rabbits but they are snake food so i understand that a snake has to eat. Snake probably do eat dogs and cats but that is usually when they are out in the wild. But seriously, do you honestly think it's normal to feed a snake a dog or a cat? I've seen a lot of tv shows, been to a lot of zoos and also have a few friends who have snakes and i have witnessed them eat mice or other small animals that are snake food. To see someone throw a puppy in the tank is different and i can bet that the reaction from other people would be a negative one. Do you see where i'm coming from?

I see were your coming from... but it doesn't make sense to me. It might not be normal but that doesn't mean it's wrong. Do you see were I'm coming from? :)

A couple of weeks ago I was out riding my bike and I saw this teenage girl walking her obese pet pig. At first I thought it was just a small dog but as I got closer WTF you have a pet pig  I have never seen that before. On a side note the girl was hot.

Did you talk to her?
