Anyone watch this show? My friend Brandi got me hooked.
For all who dont know, its a show about a bunch of guys that have NO game with the ladies, all put together in a house, who takes advice from a man called Mystery and his weird looking cronies. Every week, Mystery gives the boys some advice on how to get a girl and keep the girls interest. Then of course, one of them is eliminated every episode.
All in all, I agree with this guy's advice. And its not really rocket science! However, on the first episode, Mystery sent the boys into a club and just watched their baseline performance. Some of the shit these guys did was exactly what I do or dont do when I am out n about.
"Theres Cosmo. Sitting in the corner. Not talking to anyone. Waiting for something magically to happen."
I love this show, but as far as being reality based...I dont think so. Mystery kicked off almost all the ugly guys. Well, DUH. Now Mystery has to just give the semi-descent looking guys an edge or the confidence they lack. Sorry, but thats not entertainment to me.
For instance..
There was this 45 year old virgin on the show. If Mystery taught him how to get a girl, Id be a believer. Then there was this perfect personification of a NERD. This NERD did his homework! He did do what mystery asked him to do, but I guess that wasnt good enough, so hes gone. Cmon man, thats bullshit. If you can get an average, ugly guy laid, then I am going to believe youre an "artist."
There are 2 guys left that are kinda ugly/average. The other 2 guys dont even belong on the show. In fact, I wouldnt be surprised if theyre actors.
All in all though, the advice is sound, but its common knowledge. It is interesting to see these bumbling idiots try out lines and see them actually work. My favorite parts are when Mystery and his cronies are watching the boys go out there. Their comments are hilarious.
Holy shit, rant over...
