Jury awards $6.1 million in McDonald's strip search case - CNN.com

The article doesn't go into much detail, but I was talking to someone yesterday and they told me about this.

Apparently a man posing as a police officer on the phone was able to convince a female McDonalds manager to strip search a young girl. She is 21 now but at the time she was 18 or 16. The manager then leaves the room and the girls boyfriend picks up the phone, and the guy convinces him to also strip search her. Then he tells the boyfriend to spank her. And he does so. He spanks her for like 10 minutes. Then he tells the boyfriend to make her do naked jump-and-jacks so that if anything stolen is hidden in her body cavity, it will fall out. Then he tell the boyfriend to make her perform oral sex on him. And he does. Then the manager comes back in the room. The girl is crying hysterically and pleading to be helped by the female store manager, but she does nothing. Then the manager brings a male janitor into the room for some reason, to talk to the police officer. And the cop tells the janitor to strip search her. And for the first time someone realizes that something horribly wrong is going on here.

This happened three or so years ago, and the trial just concluded. Granted, it is in the news, but I didn't know about it, and it seems like it should have been a bigger story. I mean, I know about Don Imus, the Jena Six, Rush Limbaugh and a ton of other "big stories" that have been covered, so it seems like I should have heard about this.

This was posted a long time ago, by min0, I think.

Actually I started to post it but then decided not too......you do have superpowers!

I truly believe a nuke should be dropped on Kentucky for the good of the nation. Of course, the janitor should be saved for being the only one intelligent enough to realize this was fucked up.

I bet McD's has the appeal in high speed...
Feel bad for the girl....but you are gonna reward stupidity?
Common sense: I'm NOT stripping for ANYBODY on camera...You can take me to the police station...AFTER you call me parents...

like....duh....

I agree. But was she not legally a child when this occurred?

That and the fact that McDonald's new about prior occurrences of this act, would make you think that they would notify other franchises?

What sucks now is that every parent needs to give the "Don't blow a guy because someone on the phone told you to" speech. Although it is in Kentucky, so if it is a relative that is a 1st cousin or closer you probably have to.

A year or so ago, a guy went door-to-door in Florida claiming to be doctor doing free breast inspections. I think he was caught on his 5th or 6th exam. :bulb:

I'm completely appalled by the level of ignorance in this video. Every single person involved (except the janitor, who at least has a sense of decency if not common sense) should be rounded up and sterilized. Admittedly,a McDonalds in Kentucky is not exactly a hotbed of intelligence, but these clowns have to be bottom feeders by ANYONES standard.
The "I thought I was doing the right thing" mantra that the manager kept chanting is completely laughable. When the police arrived on scene I hope they just slapped the piss out of 'em... even the girl.

I remember reading about this story... I was more than a little surprised myself. It's amazing how truly stupid people can be, isn't it?

This is a true story, when I was in high school , this girl was essentially raped after she passed out at a party by a real fukkin winner. She wasn't sure if she should fill out a police report, so me and couple friends essentially badgered her into doing it. Anyway, she leaves the restaurant we're all at and drives to the police station. She comes back to the restaurant less than 10 minutes later and says she has to go back tomorrow because the police station was already closed. Of course, I asked her what the hell she was talking about, and she says, and I quote: "I pulled in the parking lot but there were no police cars there, so I figured they were closed." So, sadly, we all pretty much just started making fun of her for thinking the police station has business hours, and I honestly don't think she ever filed a frikkin report. The douchbag who mauled her ended up in jail about a year later anyway for robbery, but I don't remember anything ever happening from the party incident.

The shear level of stupidity in people is as astounding as it is frightening. And I don't just mean in the US. I'm talking about the world over.

Just go over to DarwinAwards.com and do some reading. Here's one of the current articles:

"(28 July 2007, Czech Republic) A pack of thieves attempted to steal and sell "scrap metal" from an abandoned factory in Kladno. Unfortunately for them, they selected the steel girders that supported the factory roof! When the girders were dismantled, the roof proceeded to fall, fatally crushing two of the thieves, and injuring three others.

(21 June 2007, Philippines) Three enterprising individuals tried to make a buck by selling metal to the scrap heap. They entered a former US military complex in Clark, Pampanga, Philippines. Before them stood the prize: an abandoned water tank! Bedazzled by the profit to be made, the three gleefully abandoned logic, and began to cut the metal legs out from under the water tank. Guess where the tank fell? Straight onto the thieves. They have not yet been identified, as their bodies were severely flattened."

Somone needs to come rape me....I want to retire early...
