out of curiosity.

And if multi-ethnic, please choose your main ethnicity, or the one you most closely identify with.

Starting things off, I am white, the specific ethnicity I most closely identify with is Basque Basque people - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

And specifically, from Navarre, to the best of my knowledge.

White of European descent.

Score one for the caucasians!

Actually it was me that voted as a fellow whitey :D

I'm white with a strong Swedish Heritage.

Even though I'm blond with blue eyes I Identify with my Cherokee Ancestors, if anything just to help bolster their numbers.....

I considered putting an option for Native Americans, but I wasnt sure how many we had here in our little hole in the wall of the internet.

White Power! But boy does me likey some hispanic booty!

Errr... I mean women hispanic booty. :)

Russian American specifically from that shithole called Belarus of the former USSR. My parents visited family and friends there recently, were tailed by two guys the whole time, had a tinted van parked across the street from the place they were staying starting when they got there and the van disappeared when they left. There were horse drawn buggies in the center of the city (we're from the second largest city, Gomel). Only like 2 paved roads in the whole city, a car is a blessing over there and once you get one, you have it for life. If the engine block cracks, you just weld that fucker together and keep on driving.

So bring on those dickheads talking shit about America. We should send those fuckers over there for two months and see how they like it. My parents grew up there, know the language, the people, the customs etc. That was their home, in many ways that America is not. But when they got back, the first thing my father told me was "God Bless America"

This ties into one basic fact: when you lose perspective, you sound like a fucking moron.

Shit like, "I have no rights in the US!" and comparing the CIA/FBI/NSA to the Gestapo. Forget sending them to Russia, send them to Zimbabwe.

You mean you haven't ever waxed your girls upper lip before? :hmmm:

Not only the enforcement agencies but the people in general. Since i'm in a pissed off, ranting mood i'll share a quick story.

About 5 or so years ago, my father's cousin came to visit us for a month (from Belarus). We took him around to see New York. He's a professor of over there so we took him to cultural spots, museums, restaurants and the usual touristy places. My father is a bilateral above the knee amputee (meaning he has no knee joint), but he gets around on prosthetics, drives a car with pulley's and shit set up to control the throttle and brake with his hands etc. Anyway, one day we decided to take the cousin to the statue of liberty. Got on that boat and made our way to the island. When we got to the island, the entrance had two long, separate lines going in. We got onto the line and waited like everyone else. When a security guard saw my father waiting in line, he rushed over, took my father (and us of course), walked us between the two lines into the statue. My father's cousin was astounded and thought we were in trouble. We explained to him thats how things are over here, we take care of people who need it. To this day, the cousin remembers that event (not even the statue, but us getting walked in).

The stories my father tells me about Belarus are ridiculous. People were knocking and bumping him while he was walking through the city, he almost fell plenty of times. Nowhere in the entire city did they have anything to accommodate the handicapped. Hell even a specialty handicap store was located on the second floor, with no working elevator and twisty steps. When my father called and asked for someone to come down and talk to him about a big purchase he wanted to make, the manager basically told him to go fuck himself. Its just crazy how different things are, and the spoiled ass bitches over here have no clue what its like anywhere else. They just want to whine how they are 'persecuted' or whatever over here because they caught a speeding ticket

That's interesting.

I have friends who slam America alot, of course they are natives. They want to get out, go other places. That is fine and I for one will not discourage traveling. It is invaluable experiencing other cultures. However, there motives and mentality aren't holding the best of intentions IMO. They want to leave because they think America is shitty.

I have lived in South America and Europe; I've taken a 5 week internship in Africa as well. I've visited dozens of places strewn about the world. People are hard pressed to believe me when I tell them "there is no place like America, be grateful you live here, there are so many things here that you can't get away with anywhere else". These are people who were born, raised, and have lived their entire life in one state.
