it's a wtf is this world coming to situation all around. i wonder how many more people there are like me who take a look at shit like this n withdraw in hopeless horror. there are a lot of really good people in the world but it seems more n more of mankind just keeps getting sicker.
Never give up. Never lose hope.

One hand
Reaches out
And pulls a lost soul from harm
While a thousand more go unspoken for
They say what good have you done
By saving just this one
It's like whispering a prayer
In the fury of a storm

And I hear them saying you'll never change things
And no matter what you do it's still the same thing
But it's not the world that I am changing
I do this so this world will know
That it will not change me

This heart
Still believes
The love and mercy still exist
While all the hatred rage and so many say
That love is all but pointless in madness such as this
It's like trying to stop a fire
With the moisture from a kiss

And I hear them saying you'll never change things
And no matter what you do it's still the same thing
But it's not the world that I am changing
I do this so this world will know
That it will not change me

As long as one heart still holds on
Then hope is never really gone

I hear them saying you'll never change things
And no matter what you do it's still the same thing
But it's not the world that I am changing
I do this so this world we know
Never changes me

What I do is so
This world will know
That it will not change me

this one's really sad.

these are United states solders. they're supposed to be the biggest bravest bestest men in the country. they're supposed to be the heroes. yet they can't find anything better to do than pick on little defenseless animals.
that's just plain old fucking wrong.

someone really needs to play smack an asshole with these people

Yes... it is wrong. Very cruel and very wrong.

It's sad and shocking to see these men behave so unbelievably callous. However...I think it's important to recognize something....

I'm fairly confidant these men didn't just start out this messed up. Something brought them there. I'm not making excuses for these guys... Not in the least so please don't misunderstand me....

War and violence changes a man. It causes him to change his perspective and approach to a great many things. Prolonged war and violence can have catastrophic effects on the psychological well-being of individuals who are (otherwise) unable to properly deal with the stress of combat.

This is a different war. We've yet to fully understand the impact this war will have for generations to come.

We train our soldiers to execute Violence of Force and Superior Fire power. We spend millions on a soldier to ensure he/she has the tools to survive in the quagmire of combat. Then we take that "Gung-Ho" soldier and put them in a combat zone.... only we now take away the Violence of Force initiative and, instead, institute a less than lethal doctrine. Now... soldiers have no visible enemy, they cannot lash out with the force of violence we've engrained in them, and yet they still see their buddies die from terrorist bombings and IED strikes. They still hold the broken and bleeding bodies of dead and wounded brothers and sisters while not having an "enemy" to shoot back at. Then we keep them there, in that place, for a long long time.

This, over time, can severely distort and warp the conscience, twisting a person's sense of morality and ethics... leaving him callous, hollow, and empty of the ability to care. It's at this point that soldiers may (I stress MAY) lash out with senseless acts of violence aimed at objects as a (sort of) release from the built-up stress and anger. It's tough and it's destructive, but it's not unrecoverable.

We have (as of late) become more and more educated on the ways to identify combat stress and combat fatigue before it reaches critical mass in the soldier. Unfortunately, we haven't mastered it yet. These cruel and unbelievable acts of senseless violence are merely the product of a lot of other underlying issues yet to be identified and dealt with.

Now, again, don't misunderstand me. I'm NOT excusing the behavior of these people. I believe they should be held accountable for their behavior. I also think that before we rush to judgment, we should first look at the root cause of this behavior.

As the old proverb implies, "Walk a mile in their shoes..."

For the recordâ???¦ Not everyone in Uniform is as awesome as I am

You know... this does bring up an interesting point...

How often do we hear about acts of cruelty between humans and turn a deaf ear. Or, at best, acknowledge "That sucks" and move on. Yet, acts of sensless cruelty against a puppy will galvanize the whole world on a unified "Man Hunt" to bring the offender (and his entire family) to "justice".

Sure... there are those exceptional cases of human-on-human cruelty that are so extreme and bizar that everyone gets compelled to protest; but in general, people seem to get much more emotionally charged when innocent animals are involved. Just my observation.

I was thinking of this myself.

I beat the shit out of a guy on Friday night. Really was an act of rage or something..demented. Anyway, yesterday at work, I saw a cockroach drinking from a tiny wet spot on the floor of my work. I didnt kill it.

Why? How could I hurt someone and not stomp a creature that has been stomped more times than STOMP performed?

Might be from being de-sensitized. Then again...

Anyone remember Nicholas Burg or something? The first guy that got beheaded after this war on terror? I reacted the same way as I would to animal cruelty. The only relation is that I dont ever see EITHER too often; animals or humans being really killed.

However, for some reason or another, I feel more sorry for a puppy getting killed than a baby.

.........tooo fucking long

I was thinking that earlier as well.

Anybody seen "The Hunting Party"? this has completely nothing to do with animal cruelty, but you'll see what i'm getting at.

Sorry if my post was too long for you. I'll try and keep your age and capacity in mind next time I humor an attempt at addressing your comments.

I'll summarize:

People who are subjected to fucked up shit for a long long time often find themselves doing fucked up shit. That's no excuse... but it happens.

I kinda find this whole thing kinda interesting, it shows how messed up some people's priorities really are. Im certainly not for abusing animals but in the grand scheme of things its really only one dog real/fake alive/dead that one soldier (who is mindfucked, but I would be too with the constant threat of violence from an enemy who are more callous this guy could ever be) threw off a cliff. I donâ??????t hear many people up in arms when 300 people get killed in Darfur or Burma.

I guess African babies<cute puppies

Nice try to obfuscate the issue.

Those African babies are being killed by other Africans. Who've been doing it to each other for all time. As in, it's never stopped. It is the status quo.

This poor puppy wasn't killed by other dogs. Which would have been sad, but acceptable. It was killed by a human. An American one at that. And, in this country, we don't tolerate that behavior. It is not the status quo.

Add to that the fact that people that hurt or kill animals are quite likely to move on to humans.

And, on a personal note, I don't give a flying fuck about Africans, no matter what their age. They are a fucked up, sub-human group of people.

.

This is true. Read any book about serial killers and it will tell you that 95% of them started off torturing and killing animals before moving to humans.

In response to DOMS statement about Africans, that's the way I feel about sick fucks that torture animals. No place in society for these sick bastards. Best place for them, is staring down the barrell of a shotun.

no, i read the whole thing it was just to long to quote.

In the Hunting Party there's these two war reporters or whatever you'd call them, and one of them goes crazy from seeing all that shit. Then a few years later he comes back to try and kill some war lord, that's supposedly 'on the run' from the government. It's a great movie that really shows how fucked up our government is when it comes to catching the bad guy n giving them what they deserve.

I'll try to find a good clip.

YouTube Video

It's based on a true story, and it's an absolutely amazing film. I recommend that everybody and their moms go see it a.s.a.p. Especially if you're into conspiracy type shit.

Ahhh my apologies.

Sound's like "The Hunting Party" has some stark paralells to reality today.

I'll find it and watch it.

All of this assuming that people only bitch when they see a video of puppies being heinously murdered is bullshit.... If anyone were to put a vid of a marine tossing a baby off a cliff and you'll see more outrage than this vid got. The despicable thing is that if said scenario did happen you know that vid would never make it off of that camera.... Motari would've gone to great links to make sure of that....possibly even murdering all witnesses (who knows).....The fact that he callously did what he did and didn't even think of the repercussions of it being on video are what make him bad, yeah the guys go through a lot of stress, I've been over there during peace time and it was stressful. Thing is he's told what he did was mean and he just shrugs it off and then doesn't even feel guilty or remorseful enough to make sure the video is erased. Hey if you guys have a video of a guy killing a child as cold blooded as this guy did then let me know and let me know his name and if he lives here in Hawaii I'd do a lot worse than just push him down a flight of stairs, you can believe that.....

Not only does that not look fake but its pretty fuckin bad PR for the country, fuck him.

This is why reading the news bothers me, countless pages and pages of this shit.
