I've just started on STOKED and X-Factor, along with some protein supplements and a weight gainer. The day I started this stack, I was bit by a couple of ticks. Here in North Carolina, it is known for some ticks to carry Rocky Mountain Fever, and some of the side effects of this are sore joints, which I am experiencing. I am usually experiencing this during the night and in the morning, with my back and neck usually very stiff. I have read that STOKED and X-factor are known to cause some soreness. For now, I am going to stop taking my stack for a few days to see what happens. I'd like to have any feedback from anyone who has ever taken this supps and what their opinion might be on my situation. Thanks.

Have you been diagnosed with RMSF, have you experienced the spots or high fever yet? RMSF is serious stuff especially if it goes untreated.

STOKED can increase DOMS and so can XF. XF can also cause joint pain so it may be the supps or the tick bite. I'd stop supplementation and go to a doctor if you haven't already.

I have a couple of spots on me that appear to be tick bites, one appeared a couple of days after the ticks were off of me. I have been experiencing joint pain and I havent been to the doctor yet but am planning on doing so. I dont think its the supps because ive only been on them a few days now.

Yeah, I don't think the XF joint pain kicks in that soon. We studied this organism at the university, definitely make sure you go to the doc and tell him whats been going on.

"The symptoms of RMSF typically develop within 1 week of a tick bite but can take up to 2 weeks to appear. In many cases, the person doesn't even remember being bitten by a tick.

Symptoms of RMSF usually begin suddenly. There is a high fever â?????? often 103??° Fahrenheit (39??° Celsius) to 105??° Fahrenheit (40??° Celsius) â?????? with chills, muscle aches, and a severe headache. Eyes can become red, muscles may feel tender, and there may be abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, poor appetite, and fatigue.

The trademark rash of this infection can begin anytime up to 10 days after the fever and headache start, but it most often appears on the third to fifth day. The rash looks like small red spots or blotches that begin on the wrists, ankles, palms, and soles. It spreads up the arms and legs toward the trunk. As the RMSF infection progresses, the original red spots might start to look more like bruises or bloody dots or patches under the skin."

Better safe than sorry bro...get it looked at for peace of mind anyways.

I want to thank everybody thats been concerned..I just went to the doctor and he gave me the medication that takes care of Rocky Mountain Fever and Lyme Disease, just in case I have it. The blood work won't come in until next Tuesday. I'm just really anxious to get back to working out and using my supps. Does anyone think that using them while i'm on the medication would be a problem?

I assume the drugs are antibiotics, I wouldn't think it would cause a problem but never know. Better to be safe than sorry, I would call your doc tomorrow and see what he or she has to say.

why do they call it rocky mountain fever in north carolina? :D

I believe its because that's where it originated from, but now the majority of cases are in the S. Atlantic/Appalachian mountains. :)
