Damn it! AKIRA went and took the high road...I knew it!!..:pissed:

Okay, I'll have to change things up a bit.

Min0.....you're gay....cubed.

:wait:

Min0 to the third power. I would have said squared, but I reserved room for the possibility of a third Min0 personality.....communal computer, and all.:D

I just saw the first six minutes of this movie and it looks fucking awesome! It opens with a bank robbing scene which surpassed my expectations.. it just reminds me that this movie is supposed to be dark and not pussy like the Joel Schumacher Batmans.

I saw the whole bank robbing scene as a trailer a few months ago. Looked awesome. Didn't know it was the beginning of the movie. I'm already sold on this movie. *Also sold on Hellboy*

I saw it when it was shown as a trailer when i went to see another movie a while ago. Subsequent trailers have been the usual collage of scenes from the movie.

We bought our tickets the other day for the IMAX one near us. Can't wait to see it! Little over 1 week :adore:

Watched Dark Knight on IMAX yesterday....
all I can say is that it is FUCKING great!
my only complaint (being the comic book geek that I am) is that I don't like the new cowl, but other than that.... holy crap.

It's kinda funny, I didn't give two shits about Heath Ledger's death until I was walking out of the theater yesterday... now I'm bummed out, because he nailed the Joker. I didn't think Nicholsons Joker could be topped, but Ledger managed just the right balance between sadistic humor and utter psychosis. The scene when he's walking out of the hospital, is just frikkin creepy...

I can't get that scene out of my head! That was just perfect, from the way he was walking to the way he was pressing the buttons. Loved the movie, Ledger did an amazing job as the joker.

The whole world doubted him, many complained about his makeup.
I thought it was perfect, down to his clothes.....makes it look like anyone can go over the edge and patch that together.

The Joker was awesome. Really good acting, scary, insane. I am going to see the movie again because of the Joker.

But Batman was gay. That robot voice gay. His fantasy gay.

The best of all the Batman movies. Christian Bale and Heath ledger were made for these movies. Definitely the best Joker.

:roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

Yeah I saw the movie twice. At one point I was thinking, 'please dont be over yet,' then I was thinking 'ok, I had enough' and it ended. Good fill.

Though Heath displayed talent, I think it was the director that made this movie. He was the one who most likely got this out of Heath anyway, not to mention his other dark movies of the past, so I wonder if hes being vastly overlooked.

Well, I cant recall them saying he was dead, just that he was "gone." I may be wrong, but I saw it twice and the word dead isnt ringing a bell.

I was a bit surprised about how they introduced him and dismissed him so easily. Much like Venom in Spiderman 3. You just dont do that shit.

Oh and those who care, the AVGN did a Batman review on the new movie and I have to agree with most of his points. Hes been doing a chronological Batman-movie-reviews and this one starts off where his last review ended which was at Batman Forever. I only send this link cuz it covers Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.

CineMassacre - Bat-A-Thon (Part 3) - SPIKE

"When the Tumbler blew up I was like, 'Yeah, fuck that hunk of junk'"

:funny:

My favorite part was in the station when the joker took that cop hostage and came out and they said what do you want......"I just want my phone call"

Just watched the trailor. Looks like a very average blockbuster. Probably entertaining, but instantly forgettable.

I had really high hopes for this movie due to all the positive reviews and such, so maybe that was the problem. I was disappointed. It was at least an hour too long, the action scenes were boring, there were no new cool gadgets, etc, .and generally nothing special.

What was up with the ridiculous voice Bale put on when being Batman? I donâ??????t recall him doing that in Batman Begins, which I actually enjoyed far more. That voice he put on didnâ??????t work at all.

Two, the leading lady was not very attractive. In fact, kinda fugly. The richest and best looking guy in town, and the Mr hunk blond DA canâ??????t do better then that???!! Here she is for those who didnâ??????t see the movie:

Gyllenhaal's struggle - Telegraph

Ledger pretty much made the movie. In fact, for me, the only thing that kept this movie from being a total dog, was the collection of great actors that made the human element work at least, such as Ledger and Gary Oldman and othes. Other then that, I was very disappointed. The movie's attempts at exploring the nature of human behavior and morality and such was all well and fine, but I don't go to Batman movies to explore human morality...

I was with 4 people, and we all had the same response to the movie, so I knew it was not just me being ultra hard on the movie (which I am in general) and we all had the same â?????this is what got such great reviews?â??? comments on the way out. My review is, wait â?????till it hits videoâ???¦

Id like to know what is a good movie to you is cuz this seems like youre splitting hairs.

First off, the actions scenes were improved (but not by much) from Batman Begins. If you recall, in begins, the action scenes consisted of a bunch of close camera movements. This time they slowed it down (TOO MUCH) and showed some actual movement.

I can think of a few new gadgets that were NOT in Begins. Some even a little off the wall.

Batman's voice was the same as in Begins. Shitty, cheesy, but the exact same.

The girl does suck. I thought she was unpleasant to look at, so I was happy to see what happens to her. :D

Ledger did make the movie, but once again, I strongly believe this is the director's doing. Being a part of a couple of stage productions myself, I can personally say that directors limit and/or explore an actor's capacity and force it out to the open. Nolan deserves more credit than is given.

4 people? ALL had the same reaction?

Holy Robots, Batman!
