Rape, Torture In Pics, Ex-U.S. Gen. Says - CBS News

Antonio Taguba, Who Led Abu Ghraib Prisoner Abuse Probe, Agrees Photos Should Not Be Released
(AP) A former U.S. general said graphic images of rape and torture are among the photos of Iraqi prisoner abuse that President Barack Obama's administration does not want released.

Retired Major Gen. Antonio Taguba, who oversaw the U.S. investigation into the abuses at Baghdad's Abu Ghraib prison, was quoted as telling Britain's Daily Telegraph in an article Thursday that he agreed with Mr. Obama's decision not to release the pictures.

"I am not sure what purpose their release would serve other than a legal one and the consequence would be to imperil our troops, the only protectors of our foreign policy, when we most need them," Taguba was quoted by the Daily Telegraph. "The mere description of these pictures is horrendous enough, take my word for it."

It was not exactly clear what photos Taguba was referring to. more

i think not releasing them will maybe be just as bad... damned if you do damned if you don't. sometimes imagination is even worse than a glaring ugly reality.

2 pictures are posted allegedly at this link.
DANGER! DANGER!:mooh:

Completely NSFW.

I knew the treatment was horrific, but fucking Christ. I am truly ashamed of my government. Those people never got a trial. they were never convicted.

If they had been given a fair trail, and were found to be guilty, of terrorism, then I'm all for killing them. I am not sympathizing with terrorist here. Terrorist deserve to be killed, but until they are proven to be terrorist, they should be treated like human beings.

Also, what is the story why these photos were taken? Was it a soldier who wanted to document the mistreatment, or was it a sick person taking pictures because they thought it was funny?

Rape...man..just wrong.

You have to be sick...

From what I understand some may have been wrongly arrested, I would feel bad for those.

Now if they were real terrorist then I really don't care, just don't let the sicko directing the rapes back home here.

Word is Cheney has been opening his mouth for fear of being charged with this.
