I went and brought the Nexus and I must say I am impressed.

I store some high dollar customer quotes on my Evernote account and when I get a call on my Iphone being able to pull up that data while in-call has been very handy especially when I recently have saved the quote and hadn't had time to sync Evernote on my phone....Just today I had to use it, a client had left his copy and was meeting for the bid, I'd left work and was at the bookstore writing when he called begging me to email it to him and stay on while he received it so we could go over it one more time. Yeah I could have hung up, did the email and then called him back but I didn't have to, very handy....

Definitely. Since I first posted on this thread that I missed the IPhone, I've fallen squarely back in Android's corner & would change my vote to the Droid (I'd say the nexus one, but I love the physical keyboard). I absolutely love the Android platform.

Yesterday I was going to a superbowl party at my sister's new house. I put the droid in the car dock, pulled up the navigation & set the destination to her house (drawn from my contacts). I then plugged the phone into my car stereo & turned on Pandora. The turn-by-turn navigation muted the music when it needed to tell me where to turn. All for free. That's just cool as hell.

I have an ipod touch, so I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything.

No I can get rid of my big old bulky Garmin GPS, the Google navigation or the Google App "Car home' is much easier to use and it comes with goodies like Voice search which is better than typing, also your contacts are also in there in case you need to go to there house to visit.....
It also gives you real time traffic...but the best thing about it is that it's free!
You don't have to pay for the GPS service.

As of this moment the Nexus doesn't have a docking mount for the car, it does have one for the room though.

This is picture of the Motorola Droid Car Home Dock station. I wonder if they are going to use something similar for the Nexus.
The one drawback that I see is that the screen is smaller than a stantrad GPS unit.....can't ask for a bigger phone.

I can now stop carrying my big old GPS unit and my camera all the time I get in a car. The camera is really good.. Here are the specs.

Anyones seeing what's coming out of vegas with the Windows Phone 7? It looks awesome. I'm probably biased being that I'm a .Net developer, but this looks incredibly appealing... If this phone is as good as it looks & sounds, I'd drop my droid in a second for it.

I like Android too, but there's money to made on the new Windows Phone. Microsoft makes it incredibly easy to build apps. That's what may tip the scale against the iPhone. Not that the iPhone won't continue to be successful, but the developer tools Microsoft provides in Visual Studio/Blend are second to none that I've seen, and C# is an awesome language.

I personally use HTC Hero Powered by Droid through Cellular South. It is a good phone, has it's flaws like not compatible with picture messaging yet ,but it is still top of the line. So I recommend anything powered by Droid, the market is killer.

They should stop following one step behind Apple and go off in their own direction innovating something new like a bluetooth pillow with built in speakers so you can listen to playlists from your computer while sleeping, or maybe a wifi capable mirrored poster sized screen for the ceiling above your bed that is a mirror or you can watch movies, or a floor projector on the toilet that plays stored sports, news, etc. feeds right on the floor as you take a dump, you could even advertise in public restrooms

OOOOoohhh I know a transformer Phone that turns into a little robot and will help you with desk work like retrieve the stapler or dance to keep you entertained or can handle a pen and take dictation...

Number of apps in the Android Market doubled in three months, rises to 30 000.

In the last three months the number of apps in the Android Market has risen to 30 000. Back in December 2009 there were only some 16 000 apps there but the popularity of the OS is beginning to show now.

In other words, about 5000 apps have been launched each month since December. And that means that the Android Market finally managed to reach App Store’s growth rate.
At the end of January Apple announced that the App Store accommodates a total of 140 000 applications. Now there are around 150 000 applications. That makes 5000 a month, again.
The revival of the Android Market shouldn’t surprise you. After all, so many Android-based devices have been unveiled lately and each of them is just another reason for the application developers to keep on working.
By the way, I even expect the apps in the Android Market to keep growing even faster: there are plenty of interesting applications for iPhone that haven’t been ported to the Android Market yet and it is about time to see them ther
