5 year old technology may as well have been a 486 in comparison!
I'm surprised it ran as well as it did too. Lots of I/O going on everyday on that thing.
pretty much, the new server is dual quad core Xeon CPU's.
I tweaked the hell out of it! lol

I just don't know what he meant by 5 year old technology might as well have been a 486 in comparison.

I have my blond moments, and I still don't know what he meant by that.

Just like Robert said, everything is faster and faster and software gets more and more demanding of the hardware, using a server that is 5 years old in todays environments is like trying to use a i486 pentium to run the forums. Or something similiarly software intensive.
Whatever... forget it Kelju. Killer of simili! ;)

Lol, my brain constructs my reality in the form of analogies. This is somewhat of an excessive compulsive behavior.

Don't worry about it. It is just more more inconsequential question that my mind will not get closure over.
