I meant to start watching that show and never got around to it....
What happened was it like Gilligan and the others find out there was a whole resort community on the other side of the Island or something? Or did everyone get rescued and have a party all schmootzy and shit like so many sad writers do for final episodes? They should let fans suggest how shows end...then they'd avoid the let downs and WTF's like Soprano's.....

From my side of just seeing it talked about in the news and stuff it looked like Gilligan meets V and The Hills Have Eyes.....
I tried to watch it a couple of times, but in the end had more fun masturbating with a cheese grater 
I liked the ending. Originally I was hoping they'd answer the shit-ton of questions they raised, but after they really didn't answer anything I was surprisingly ok with it. It wouldn't be 'Lost' if we found everything out.

The people on the plane were Islomaniacs who paid big money to be drugged and made to believe they had been marooned on a desert isle.... one of the richer of the group asked for a step further in his adventure by funding an Island of Dr. Moreau sort of segment
I really didn't get the ending i saw the first half then the last 15min so were they like dead? and the fat guy was god.. or the whole thing was a flash back of there lives?
my son said they all were in limbo then went on to heaven.
man the last dexter was awful. love the show but jesus what a way to leave us hanging.

I LOVED IT. I HATED Rita. She did nothing but hold him back and my god, that voice!
A Black Guy once said that all the female roles suck on that show and I agree for the most part. I like Lieutenant Agrueda(?) but Debs foul mouth is unnecessary and shes not pleasing to the eyes. I liked the girl Dex left Rita for...
However, the men on the show are pretty fucking good. Light years ahead on the women, so I wonder if the writer is doing this deliberately or the writer has no touch with female persona.
Oh. This thread was about LOST. Perhaps ill Download it one day, but tv shows that arent on cable usually suck really really bad.
Agreed. Dexter is definitely my favorite show, but Rita annoyed the living shit out of me. Interested to see where they take the show now.

EDIT: Zoey in the last season (the cop who murdered her family) is the hottest and best edition to the show.
Sorry-didn't mean to co-opt the thread. But I do agree that the female characters are a bit flat on Dexter. The show centers on the main character, and most of the other male characters are pretty strong. And I hated Rita, too. Now if they can just kill of Dexter's annoying sister. Probably not though, because I think they are married in real life. Love the story lines, and the fact that they manage to make a serial killer into a sympathetic character. So much for not co-opting the thread. I'll shut up now.

Dont worry about it. LOST is over while Dexter still has a heart beat. I am watching Dex right now (the episode where Lundy was killed...see? Why would Deb fuck him?!) and Ritas annoying ass voice.
What sold me on this show was all the little bizarre details. One of which was that he didnt understand sex. That was hilarious. Then Rita started being a bigger image and thats where I started to hate it. He wanted to fit a family profile as a disguise....WHAT?! Serial Killers usually have a happy family life. That made no sense.
Now we got him left with a baby. Ugh. As long as they dont bring Rita back as a memory like his father, I think it could be better.
I dont know how theyll top Trinity. I thought he was a the very best adversary.

The ending to the last season was horrific. They raise you up, you think everything it going well for Dexter, and then *BAM*, they drop you to the bottom.
I was just starting to like Rita. She stopped weighing him down and stopped bitching. I think they did that on purpose. They wanted you to start liking her before the season finale.
Dexter: one of the best shows on teevee.

You missed it. He wasn't trying to get married. It all started with just wanting a girl friend as a disguise. Then, and he used that cover, he found that he liked the kids, because, unlike adults, he found them to be refreshingly honest. Then he started to like Rita, and things just developed from there.
I also liked the relationship that he had with the DA. Very good.

No I got it alright and I thought it sucked. Perhaps it was just the actress. I am re-watching the last season and I am at the episode where shes fucking complaining about him having his old apartment. This is just one of the shit things she does.
Miguel was awesome. I loved that guy. Very rarely do I like "co stars." I feel as if they draw attention away from the star. However, as I said, the males draw positive attention whereas the females do not.
I even miss Dokes.
