Creatine and Whey works in different way..
Personally on Cut I don't use creatine for limit any type of water retention.
On the oher side protein are fundamental in both process.
PS: first gain then cut or cut and then gain, without drugs it's hard achieve both at the same time.
I know and I use creatine for many of my training, everytime I need to boost my atp-cp process..Water retention can be controlled through a diet.
Creatine is a great supplement to use with protein as well as a fast-acting carbs
100% agree...diet is the key to go with this
100% agree.

Don't take creatine until you've maxed your muscle's ability to grow. Then load creatine and then trim back. If you are trying to cut weight don't load up on creatine. Back in my day I would cut with heavy workouts and smoking herb so i didnt feel the pain but that was college and illegal.
Whey... Bleh. Don't bother.
