Hello to everyone!!!

I have a question about creatine. I know creatine is found in foods like steak and other meats but is cooked away. The other way to take it is through supplements. Some people I have talked to about this matter tell me that creatine is not good for the liver nor the kidneys. With creatine I made some nice gains and I miss using the supplement. I recently went through a liver transplant and I don't want to damage the liver. Even doctors told me not to take the supplement. I just want to know if it is ok for me to take creatine.

Thanks for the time and help!!

well the doctors said not to take it because of liver problems.... theres your answer

doctors told you not to take so don't take it ....no big deal...after a liver transplant i don't see why you want to take the risk, especially that the gains from creatine supplementation are not that important in the first place, there were bodybuilders long before creatine supplements were invented.

Why do you want to take it?

I will like to take it so I get the fullness look in the muscles and it helps with more reps while working out. I will like to cycle creatine for a couple of weeks and see results. I get blood work done every 2 weeks and shows my intake of creatine. And that is very low. Just hoping to get some fullness and gains.

Your doctor recommended you NOT to take creatine and IMHO I would listen. Unless your willing to follow up every few weeks to make sure that your alright, you can make gains with diet alone. Creatine monohydrate will give you fullness because of water retention along with muscle. CEE isn't known to cause bloat.

Your an adult so the choice is ultimately yours....

funny that in previous posts when i said the same thing about creatine everybody jumped on me with insults.
and Bwarrior fullness of muscle has nothing to do with creatine , maybe only due to water retention) and i don't think with two weeks working out with creatine or working out without are going to make a difference, you can't get any difference in 2 weeks even if you used AAS.
you are searching for someone to approve the use of creatine while your doctor said don't use it....listen to your doctor or at least ask another doctor after showing him your medical file.

You were told not to take creatine because if you use too much, your body has to remove it. Removing anything from the blood means your kidneys and sometimes liver have to do additional work. Now, your liver was replaced... why? Something was obviously wrong. Does the problem still exist? If your liver was damaged, chances are your kidneys have reduced function, too. If that's the case, then you want to stay away from anything that will make your liver or kidneys work harder. That would include not only creatine, but also excess protein, *especially* whey protein supplements.

I had the liver transplant due to Hep C and cancerous tumor in my liver. My liver functions are good and healthy. What other ways will I be able to get some creatine other than steak and other meats? I have limited finances to be able to consume steak all the time as that is the main source of creatine. Thanks for all the responses and great answers.

Muscle Gelz Transdermals

The amount of creatine you get from food, as compared to straight bulk powder, is probably very different.

i would say no creatine and no powder supplements too much load on your liver.
hope you get much better and you fully recover.

Thanks to everyone for your advice. I might ask another doctor about this matter when I have my appointment.
