Man I will never sell my books back to the bookstore after last year. My GF's mom put them on amazon for me and I made bank!

Books are such a fucking racket. Those fucks change the pictures and issue a new version so you have to spend 150 instead of 50.

dam...when I was in college we just did a couple of hits off the gravity bong and called it a night..lol

The Roor is in action also. But I'm trying to quit that. :winkfinger:

The school I go to actually rents most of them out for 40 bucks a semester. Unfortunately I took classes this semester that has no rental books except for the algebra class I'm taking.

Theres a website that does that. Thing is that it'sonly like $40 cheaper than buying it. So you can actually spend less if you buy it if you factor in the money you get back when you sell it.

I think it's mostly for the very expensive books that they know you won't get a return on and books that seem to be used over and over ignoring the new editions, which is nice.

Thanks for the link.

Have you guys ever dissected the tuition? I just registered for the Spring semester and even after 6+ years, it still amazes me all the "little" fees that are thrown in

Or pop a couple Mini-Thins or Thermodrenes to stay awake in class...then you realize you weren't as tired as you thought and the 6 Thermodrenes have you tweaking like a methhead, so your starting to go crazy in your seat while the professor is droning on about coulombs and other things of electrical theory and you're thinking, I got 700 mega joules of power coursing through my fucking heart right now! I could jump start a fucking bulldozer right now or at least push start the fucker RrrrrAaaahhhhhh!!!!!

I miss Thermodrene....

I kept my Chemistry, Physics, Electrical Theory books, but I got rid of the English, Psychology and other boring books...

I graduated last year with a BSc (majored in neuroscience). I can't say I miss finals..

Ritalin helped out A LOT with those late night cramming sessions. The worst mistake I made was trying Tren out during finals one year. I had a lot of the Tren side effects like sweating and insomnia and was stressed out because of all of the tests, it wasn't a fun month.

That is true. I've noticed you always end up paying more the first semester in a school too. The last school I went to charged a fee in addition to tuition called "student fees" which was supposed to pay for parking and things like that. If they wanted to add those in I don't know why they didn't just add it to tuition. I've noticed at all the schools I've went to online classes always cost more too which don't make any sense at all because you're using way less of the colleges resources if you're taking a class online.

^^^This!
One semester I took one online and one face-to-face class and the online one was 2x more!

On top of that, the b1tch was hard. Never taking statistics with an Asian teacher online again.

Online courses are retarded. They charge you a ton like you guys have mentioned and they require so much more work than if you just took it in class. If you take a course in class you know what your professor is looking for or wants as an answer on a test. I took physiology and anatomy online and will never do that again.

I like online classes. You can roll right out of bed and do your work in your recliner. Hell, you can even drag your laptop to the bed and do it there. I have noticed they are way harder though. I definitely wouldn't recommend most people taking them, at first. The price is also a bitch too - just like I said. I'm taking two classes on campus next semester and two online and I'm paying almost twice as much for the online classes. It almost don't even make up for the saving on gas, but I don't want to spend that much time on campus.

My first stats professor was fresh off of the boat and couldn't speak english at all. I had to teach my self with just the text book. I enjoyed it though so I did really well in that class.

I took online courses in the Navy while on Deployment in the Persian Gulf and they were pretty easy. The tests were a joke... But that was 12 years ago they probably realized they weren't challenging enough and made them harder now.

BTW, how did you do Sloppy Slop? And everyone else?

Finished my last one this morning.

And my day did not start off well. It began 2days ago when I started tweaking out on addys while studying and not getting to sleep until 3am after laying down at 11pm last night. Then my fucking alarm didnt go off! I was supposed to be up at 6am. Woke up at 7:47!! Crammed my face with some leftover pasta for breakfast and I dipped out, still tweaking from the addy the night before, and hauled ass to the campus. But at least i was able to get there so I had some time to study before the exam. And Im still tweaking on those addys.

Sweet vacation! Im not going to do shit but pump iron and fuck around on the Xbox :ohyeah:

3 courses with letter grades of A, B, C!

At this point in my program and collegiate career, I just need to pass :ohyeah:

We have a saying in law school bro, "C's get JD's!" In undergrad, "C's get degrees!"

I had a commercial law one this morning, shit was a BEAST! I thought it was going to be a decent test and my evidence exam was going to be the hard one, WRONG!

One more test tomorrow and I'm gonna just hit the gym the whole break and chiiiiiiiilll. And get my social life back.

FUKing BS, Got (2) 88% and waiting on another. Pisses me off. I needed those A's. Bas-tards.

I'm normally a B student. I got 2 B's and a D in chem. If I would have gotten 2 more questions right on the final I took last night for chem, I would have bumped it to a C. So maybe she'll bump it up for me since I was so close.....but I doubt it.

I got all A's and only because I was lucky enough to have two of the most laid back teacher who curved my 89 to a 90. The geography class I took I made a 98 in. I don't think I'll be so lucky next semester.

Mine aren't that nice. The majority of them don't give twp shits abput you. Chem classes are notorious for being "Weed Out" classes at my university.

My grades arent posted yet.

I hate Chem classes--they are evil. I have one more science class to take and it's going to be physics next semester. The other one I took was biology.

i'm in 2 degree programs right now...they both have waiting lists for many of the clinical classes to complete them....so what would normally take only a couple years is about 4-5....and a trend i'm seeing is that with some mandatory classes teacher aren't passing kids thru like they used to....is common knowledge that schools are merely businesses and making some classes unpassable just generates more revenue when people have to retake certain course multiple times
