Not sure if this has been mentioned in a post or not. I haven't been here in a month or so. I was wondering what some good motivational gym quotes were that push you or you may live by.

You'll never regret how hard you worked, only not working hard enough!

Go big, or go home.

and more of a life quote than a gym quote:

Treat me good, I`ll treat you better.
Treat me bad, I`ll treat you worse.

All of those are great. One I really like is
"You can suffer from the pain of DISCIPLINE or You can suffer from the pain of REGRET."

Pain is just fear leaving the body.

Go big, or go home.

and more of a life quote than a gym quote:

Treat me good, I`ll treat you better.
Treat me bad, I`ll treat you worse.

And that second one has saved my ass a few times. It`s somehow tied to the Hell`s Angels. Twice I was in fights where things were looking pretty bleak and suddenly had "help". Later I buy a few rounds out of thatnks and notice the HA patches on the guys that just saved my ass. I guess it`s a respect thing reflecting the way I carry myself. I`m not a biker(haven`t been one one since I broke my collarbone at 13) but it seems I fit in. LOL Glad they were on MY side.

MY quote: good to have goals but better to enjoy achieving them.
i said this because today most people focus on results and fast results while they should focus on the work and enjoy the work,...results will follow.
my secret weapons in bodybuilding longevity and results: patience and fun in the gym

Health should be your biggest joy in life, because without it, you can have no other.

"Live every day like it's your last"

"If you don't try how will you know what you can really do"

"The past is the past the future is not here yet right now is the present and thats a gift worth fighting for"

Don’t put it off. Get to work now. Believe in yourself and go get what you want. No, don’t just go get it. Attack it and take it cuz it’s yours. Take it cuz you know that in your heart if you don’t, you will never forget that it was there all along for the taking and you just bitched up and let it go...

The Nobodies of the World?

...Got no business being a somebody. There are winners, and there's everyone else. "You wanna be a winner, champ? Dream on." I've been told this all my life, been told this is the truth.

The truth?? Here it is straight from the horse's mouth... "You ain't somebody till you stop being a nobody." You choose. Yea, you. Your dream, your physique, your choice. So be the somebody nobody expected you to be. Start something..."

Speak softly and carry a lot of muscle (ok, so I paraphrased)
The best defense is a good offense.

That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger...or leaves you crippled for life. - me
You don't need to do what the most fit people do in order to be very very very very very fit. - me
There's more than one way to skin a cat, some are just safer and more efficient than others. - me (partially, huh)
There's a very thin line between an excuse and an explanation, but they are worlds apart. - You guessed it, Me!

I have a couple 'homemade' t-shirts to go w/ my attitude in the gym:

Live.. Love .. Lift

LIFTINGROX/cardiosux

ATF or GTFO

I'm gonna add a few:

STFU & FOCUS

"I just train to be sexy"

Half-way = Half-ass

And the one thing I always tell people who ask competition questions & often have to use on myself to get out of bed for cardio: Do it or don't bother.

unlike many lifters...my attitude in the gym is not to show how macho i am and all that " no pain no gain etc..." my attitude is to lift hard for sure and train hard for sure...but also enjoy it....weight lifting is not some prison camp enforced work or punishment ..you have to enjoy it.
lifting should not be a source of mental stress ..it should be just the opposite.

Saw this while in a place with the wife that sells all kinds of weird stuff but it hit me and I like it,

"The trouble with trouble is that it starts out as fun!"

"For me life is continuously being hungry. The meaning of life is not simply to exist, to survive, but to move ahead, to go up, to achieve, to conquer."

if theres grass on the pitch then play ;)
