My quads are always hit and miss, sometimes ill have no pain what so ever the next few days, than theirs been a couple times where i was limping and couldnt even walk up the stairs or down them for that matter. Obviously it was my technique cause it was the same gear, I probably went in at a bad angle

i have a 5 inch surgical site packed with gauze on my right quad because of a fucked up injection. I've been stabbing people with needles for about a decade, so I'm not sure what happened. It basically started out day 1 as an irritating spot the size of a quarter. day 3 my quad stopped working while walking. ultrasound showed a 4 cm abcess about a 1/2 inch below the sub-q. that was 2 weeks ago and i'm still doing wound repacks every day with 5 sutures closing the outer edges. just so ya know what it could be or couldn't be... afebrile, slight edema, slight erythema. it was just tender to palpation and the skin felt tighter, not warm to the touch.

I'm just fuckin with you, hopefully it's not an infection. I've had several shots swell up and turn red, but cleared up on their own. I know you're not a fan of antibiotics, but I always keep several types of anti's on hand just in case. I have keflex and z-pak at all times.

nope. it was poor injection technique. there's no reason to name the lab.
