accutane and blood work

i know its not a steroid but people on gear use this sometimes for acne,

im having a small breakout now just tiny pimples im gonna get some accutane heard its good stuff yeah ive had doxycycline off the doc he reccomended 1 50mg pill a day i soon bumped that to 4 pills a day but only just started to notice it at that dose so iv come to the conclusion its to weak for me anyway blah lomg story short im gonna get some accuntne..


just wondering if any one has had blood work while on accutane whilse either on or off the gear? should i just run it now im off is it harsh on the liver, kidneys ect? whats it bad for cause ive heard its quite nasty stuff but effective?

Its best to run a low doses (20mg daily) as it will negatively effect lipids and liver enzymes.

thanks mate is it as effective as they say i mean ive been running doxycycline on and off for a good year or 2 now and its just not up to the job for me..


and would i be ok to run it on cycle im running test prop and tren ace on my next cycle which i want to start within a few weeks will i be ok to run the accutane aswell?

just get regular liver blood work done every say 4 weeks?

Accutane will change your DNA after 5-6 months. Acne will reduce significantly. I ran it on cycle with no issues. Probably best to avoid oral AAS while on Accutane though.

i agree w/ heavy but i say use only 10mg a day until clear or u can use it eod its a good drug ive been on it since 1982 when it first came out. take milk thistle and get a cbc done every 3 months to see if its messing with hdl and lipids like heavy said. it will also raise your liver enzymes and theres no way to stop that as it will but drs allow for a certain % of raising them. i take with hard orals and i got liver of a 20 yr old but i eat milk thistle like candy and i never use only the 10mg capsule. once its under control i use it eod and off on weekends as this drug after you do the treatment cycle of 16- 20 weeks will stay in your fat cells for up to 2 yrs. but it never did totally control it permanetly. high doses u can get suicidal thinking and homacidal thinking, depression bad to so stay at 10 - 20mg ed no higher as eventually it will work but it might get worse at first but dont stop keep taking it. good luck brother.

20mg daily is considered the low end dosing just fyi.

Low-dose isotretinoin in the treatment of acne vulgaris.

BACKGROUND: The efficacy of isotretinoin at 0.5 to 1.0 mg/kg per day in the treatment of acne is well established and considered safe, although it is sometimes not easily tolerated because of its cutaneous side effects. OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study was to determine the efficacy of low-dose isotretinoin in the treatment of acne. METHODS: In this prospective, noncomparative, open-label study, 638 patients, both male and female, with moderate acne were enrolled and treated with isotretinoin at 20 mg/d (approximately 0.3-0.4 mg/kg per day) for 6 months. The patients were divided into two age groups: 12 to 20 and 21 to 35 years old. Patients were evaluated at 2-month intervals by means of clinical and laboratory examinations. A 4-year follow-up was also carried out. RESULTS: At the end of the treatment phase, good results were observed in 94.8% of the patients aged 12 to 20 years, and in 92.6% of the patients aged 21 to 35 years. Failure of the treatment occurred in 5.2% and 7.4% of the two groups, respectively. Twenty-one patients dropped out of the study because of lack of compliance, and another patient discontinued participation because of a laboratory side effect. During the 4-year follow-up period, relapses of the acne occurred in 3.9% of the patients aged 12 to 20 years and in 5.9% of the patients aged 21 to 35 years. Elevated serum lipid levels (up to 20% higher than the upper limit of normal value) were found in 4.2% of the patients and abnormal (<twice the upper limit of normal values) liver tests were observed in 4.8%. LIMITATIONS: This was a noncomparative, open-label study. CONCLUSION: Six months of treatment with low-dose isotretinoin (20 mg/d) was found to be effective in the treatment of moderate acne, with a low incidence of severe side effects and at a lower cost than higher doses.

It changes how your glands emit oil permanently. 1-2 six month courses have a very high cure rate for acne.

I've been prescribed 40mg/day by a doctor. I am now at 20mg of UG stuff. Works wonders, I get less sides on 20mg (dry lips, eyes and skin)

thanks for the help its a pain in the ass im having a little break out i think its also to do with hygeine and the hot weather when i was staying at home i was showering all the time change clothes ect now im staying at my girlfriends house most nights and we are literally sleeping on a 2 inch thick peice of sponge and the dog is always on it (red nose pitbull ) ect... sounds worse then it is, place is nice just waiting for a bed to come next month!

im not taking anything for the acne right now, im going to order some ugl accutane next friday want to start running it atleast 30 days before my cycle..

Each time i have been to the doctors i get put with a different doc and they all say ahh yes sir just finish the course of doxycline and come back i asked the last doc about accutane and he had never heard of it! and each doc tells me to run a weaker dose so time to take matters into my own hands...

If some one would be kind enough to PM me a good sourse for come accuntane i would greatly appreciate it im sure MP does it ( is it legit?) and maybe reseach stop? but if some one could maybe help me out with were to get some would be great!
