I decided to build my own website and figured how hard could this be. I had no idea what I was in for. I bought a domain, vB 5 and a server overseas. Prince came over and downloaded vBulletin 5 and put it on my server. We may have been slightly intoxicated. It could not be installed that night because the domain wasn't right. The next day I read the installation manual......5 times. My lovely wife called the server techs to get the domain fixed and we proceeded to install vB 5. It didn't work so we created several tickets at vB and finally we sorted it out and the site was up. I then spent about 6 hours reading the vB5 user manual and tweaking the settings. At this point no posts will show inline pics so I opened another support ticket.

I have been reading instructions for the last 3 days and I don't think I ever want to see computer code again. I need a drink...

Prince is massively busy so if anyone knows how to admin a vB site from the back end I will listen to any suggestions.

btw, vB5 sucks. All kinds of bugs.:alcoholic:

Actually I just told a small lie.

Find a website that is similar to what you want, then cut and paste their code. Modify to your specifications.

I feel like I have contributed.
 
I really hope its a gay bodybuilding site. You would steal most of this forums members.
 
A buddy of mine does ip for Bloomberg. He's one of those computer geeks. Built a website for my buddies tattoo shop. He can help you for sure. If interested pm me a email that I can give him and he will walk u threw it.

Looks like you are managing well enough. I would just stick with it until you solved all the problems. that way you won't have to get outside help when problems arise in the future.

Yeah, its been a ton of work and a steep learning curve but I'm learning a lot of useful info for sure.
 
azza has alot to contribute, make him a supermod or admin and let him review products, priceless info will flow like the nile............and ebay will thank u also

search 3rd world countries, they have an army of little fuckers that will code everything for u for small amounts of $, i couldnt name any but when i was in PH i seen heaps advertising to set up websites for like $100 usd lol
 
i would give you all of my vast knowledge on the subject...but i would need to stay in a holiday inn express for about 15yrs to obtain any useful info..

As in Michael Bloomberg the leftist mayor of NYC? Oh that does not sound like a good idea. His guy will help you set it up, then you'll be getting calls from the IRS and Homeland Security at the same time.
