Intent is a significant element of our legal system. Clearly the intent and premeditated nature of this event would warrant a charge of murder. Probably wont stick but the charge is warranted.

See what would happen if abortions became illegal. Granted they're not illegal yet, but this is what a man who doesn't want a child would do.

Now if they were and he would've talked that trick into it that would've been a different story. women will always find someone to do it for them, and it may not be the safest way to do it.

Taking away something is not the answer! Remember prohibition, war on drugs....etc.

I think that hermit grommel sick fuck is the best example of why abortions should be legal. not that everyone would wait until 8 months to kill there baby. but people will resort to what ever methods they can.

WHAT??? No one was calling for the end of abortions??? I just stated a simple fact. If the dad or someone else causes the death of the child in womb it is considered murder or death to a human life; yet if the female does it, its just a choice to get rid of a fetus. This doesn't make any sense. I never talked about my own personal convictions about abortion. I'm not sure if anyone remembers, but Scott Peterson was convicted of the double murder of his wife and unborn child. Yet, if she would have gone to a clinic one day before the murder she could have killed the child "aborted" and it would have been ok??? Isn't that just a wee bit hypocritical? Now if someone wants to start a debate whether abortion is right or wrong somewhere else, I will definitely throw my two cents in!

I don't think there's any doubt that abortion is morally "wrong" -- I think the issue is, "Should we, as a society, allow individuals to make immoral choices without repercussions from the government..."

This same framework can be applied to euthanasia. Ending a life is wrong; BUT, should we allow it under certain circumstances?

i dont think you can decide morality for another person, my moral compass might be different from yours, for example i like yogurt up my ass and a popsicle stick in my mouth while midgets choke me.

We "decide morality for other people" all the time. For example, when you look at child porn in your mother's basement, you're actually breaking the law because we, as a society, decided that that sort of behavior is immoral. When you go out to your gay clubs and slip other men flunitrazepam and take advantage of them, you're committing a crime because we, as a society, decided futureMrO shouldn't engage in that sort of immoral behavior.

Except it doesn't, because I was dismantling your hypothesis. You were using the word "IF" in the context of posing a hypothetical. It would be like reading a tragic story about a drunk driver and then asserting that people will drink and drive if we made alcohol consumption illegal.
