What I do have a problem with is the misinformation that those in positions of power spread and how that misinformation is not fact checked. there were some programs during the great depression like the civilian conservation corp and civil works administration. not opposed to things like that if they are done fairly and not punitively. if the country is going to pay out all this money anyway i have no problem with work being done in exchange for it that benefits the country. i do have a problem with people just ignoring that there are requirements in place now for people on assistance. many have jobs or are required to volunteer to repay their benefits to society.

gov't doesn't work like that bro. They have to have bids submitted by union shops only, to administer those drug tests. Gotta make it fair. You trying to take jobs away from Americans? That will just put more people on the gov't dole if you buy those $3 test kits and have a lay person administer them. Not to mention if someone were not properly trained in how to correctly administer those tests then their validity and accuracy can always be called into question.

I'm skipping bits and pieces of it all, but it would take at least 4-6 years to implement it on a federal level and minimum 2-3 on a state level. But clearly you can see how it's cost inhibitive.

it has nothing to do with a privacy issue. work forces do this all of the time random drug tests. A organization has the right to make its stimulations if you want their services. Here is my take on this. I am all for welfare period. However, the current policy does nothing to better the person. You can not give someone who is irresponsible or does not know how to budget money cash. It just does not work that way. IT does nothing to fix or better their current situation and it is a proven failed solution. I would not mind paying more to welfare if i knew the money actually went to helping the person and not giving them a free ride. They should go back to food stamps period. You get x amount of food items and only items on that list. Generic off brand foods. There is no reason why you should be eating a 10$ steak. Also clothing should be supplied as well, but contracted through a company that will provide you with x number of clothes as needed. Just as the military does with uniforms. There is no reason any one on welfare should use welfare money for designer clothes. A barracks system for the truly poor with military grade food service would be the next step this is for the people who can not take care of them selves.

If you are unemployeed you will do civic duties around the community that you can choice from, but you must meet the attendance requirement. It can be helping preparing the food, grounds keeper, cleaning the city, working at homeless shelters and ect. Every person will get a cell phone... YES i said a cell phone... A old cheap cell phone with only call capability no data, not text. this will to be to assist them getting a job. Households will have a google chrome book that is encrypted and restricted, this book is soley for job searching and educational purposes.

We need more community projects for the kids to be apart of to earn different scholarship opportunities. and programs for adults like a job core and journeymen program. Yes drug testing is a must as well. Yes this costs more money, but i would rather pay more money in taxes knowing that my dollars are actually going to help them.

Right now we are only throwing money at them hoping the problem goes away. Such, as how a rich parent throws money at an immature kid hoping he shuts his mouth and goes away. This does nothing to better their current life styles.

I was just talking with one of my office managers because one of her employee's was asking for donations to help bury her father who passed. Well the day after her father passed she bought a new iphone 5, and came in showing off her new custom make nike shoes. She is also on welfare.. I am sorry if i show no remorse or pitty, but there is no reason why someone one welfare can live better then our veterans do.

There are many people on welfare making more money then our e1-e4 troops fighting over seas. There are many of them making more money then our permanently disabled troops missing legs. On the news they talked about this, there is a local vet who is furious because he is missing both legs and cant get a job because of PTSD and condition. He can not physically work at his current state. He hopes once he gets use to his prosthetics he can function better, but he makes 1600 a month off of being disabled. He was getting 1800 a month for unemployment but due to CA's budget they cut him off a year early and only allowed him 1 year of unemployment when in the past vets got 2 years. A week earlier they interviewed a mother of 4 making 6k off the system. He asked how can this happen that i cant get another single dollar because i have no kids and he is not eligible for welfare because his disability pays to much.

He also was not medically retired so that fucked him out of cash because his eaos happened while he was in the hospital so after he was discharged from the hospital he was just separated with an RE-3.
