    Time vs. Resistance

Thanks guys for the tip on doing the Cardio AFTER the Resistance training! I started doing it that way this morning and perhaps it's in my head, but I thought I was sweating more than usual. :) Thanks!!!!! :thumb:

    Time vs. Resistance

Wow...I never thought there was a difference if I did the cardio before or after the resistance training. Thanks!

    Time vs. Resistance

I'm lifting to gain muscle tone and if I lose a little weight that's ok.

    Time vs. Resistance

On my Ellipitical Trainer I am doing 30 minutes at level 3, would it be better to do 20 minutes at level 4? My goal for this machine is to help be with the cardio workout and lose a little weight. After doing the Elliptical I do some weight training.

    Ellipitical Trainer

Tom_B, I hate to say this to you, but what did you expect for $70? I went ahead and purchased a more expensive model that includes a very interactive panel and also a wireless heart-rate monitor that goes around your chest...

Is a bowflex at all worthwhile?

I was obviously not there and only you have all the facts, but I kind of find it hard to believe that you were not able to get a good workout, maybe not freaking awesome, but at least good. The Bowflex can go up to 410lbs, and let's just say for the sake of arguments that it is not really...

Is a bowflex at all worthwhile?

Well said! Pumpchaser...your response was very diplomatic and well said! I think in the end people should use what works best for them, but more importantly the user REALLY needs to decide what their goals are before making a purchase. For me I would NEVER want to be anywere as big as...

    Fired for being fit.

Wow...you must have an interesting family if some of them still invite you into there houses after you call some of them "fat lazy sobs".

Is a bowflex at all worthwhile?

Oh boy, get ready to get beat up for thinking about buying one. The typical response will be: - no, join a gym - no, buy free weights - no, you will never achieve the results you want - no, it's too expensive - no, unless you live in a small cabin at the top of Mt. Everest where...

    Fired for being fit.

Hypocrite adrien_j9, You are absolutely right, by me calling Eric an ASS I was indeed going against what I was saying...I apologize. But the fact that both of you ignore to recognize that calling people FAT OR FATTY is just plain rude.

    Fired for being fit.

I think it's sad that you think of people in those terms, and I'm sure you would be really bothered if someone described someone you cared about with the terms you described!

    Fired for being fit.

You didn't hurt my feelings but thanks for caring. What you and the others are missing is the main point, let me see if I can type slow enough for you to follow along: Stop making fun of people that are not as fit as you are or think you are! It's very rude when...

    Fired for being fit.

But referring to people as "outrageous fatties" and "disgusting fatties" is ok?!? Nice attitude. I'm glad you ALSO went down memory lane, except in your case is was 2nd grade. As far as spelling goes Mr. adrien_j9, would you like to share with us what these words you used mean as they are...
