I like the vid simply for the fact that somebody tried to get a video of themselves actin' all big and bad (or Gansta ) and got what they had comming to them :roflmao:. I'm a 52yr old black guy and if I'd had the time, I would have offered to treat the "Bearded Wonder" to a beer . Woulda found...
If I had to choose between your method and putting it under my tongue. I'd go the under the tongue route.
Fortunately for the rest of us, there's the plain ol' oral ingestion method. :roflmao:
I saw somewhere the idea of placing creatine under the tongue for better absorbtion. Kind of more directly into the blood stream. Is this one of those wacky things you find on the internet or is there some merit to it? :hmmm:
Here's an example for you. I ride the bus to work and as anyone knows, sooner or later, you'll probably have to "sprint" to the bus stop to catch a bus. I'm about four weeks into lifting again and the strength is definately comming back. A couple of days ago, I had occasion to do a 35-40 yd...
I think my design for a wood power rack would be very sturdy and cost about $50.
Although I'm just gettin' back into lifting, I want to be able to blast my quads with squats without having to need a spotter and occasionally bench to failure. I'm on a tight budget so the $$ I save can get me a...
The thing about using wood is that if it starts to go, it'll give some warning. The other thing is that wood is cheap. A "box" structure can be made pretty solid, they use 2x4's to frame houses after all.
Hey, if I give it a shot, I'll post a pic.
I haven't seen any posts/forums about equipment but since this is the training forum, I'll ask it here.
I work out at home so my equipment is pretty basic. I have an idea to make a "power rack" out of wood. I'm thinking a frame made out of doubled up 2x4's.
A good power rack isn't cheap and...
We'll see...
Years ago when I was lifting, I got up to around 220 for reps @ a body weight of 195. The funny thing is that the bar was starting to hurt my hands before my muscles would tire.
I've had a long layoff so I'm almost starting all over. So far, I've done 160 after about 4-wks of...
Growing up, I had always been the tall skinny guy type. Six-ft tall and 153 lbs. and not a pound more no matter how hard I tried. My favorite sports activity was cycling during the warmer months. Around the age of thirty, I figured that weight training could boost my size & strength :bulb:. So I...
Hi Molly229! I'm no nutritionist, but it sounds like you could use more protein and healthy fats in your diet. I think that would go a long way towards curbing your cravings. Try 30 min of weights in the morning instead of running. It'll do more for your fitness and help get rid of some that...
Hi and welcome!
Hi Kelli! Don't let the talk of lifting weights scare you off. Betcha didn't know that lifting weights burns more calories than cardio did you?
What you can do with weights is shape and tone your body. Not every woman who lifts is out to look like a pro bodybuilder.
Want a...
I'm new to the board, but not to working out. I've had a layoff of about ten years. Last week, I decided to start working out again.
All through life I had been the tall skinny guy. I did a lot of cycling and was pretty fit, just thin. I started weight training in addition to the riding and...
