Was it hosted in the USA? I know the owner was a Texan living in California and busted in New York. But I didn't realize that the web hosting company and its location were identified? Otherwise I would assume it was offshore somewhere
Silk Road was light years beyond this. There was no domain registration - it was an .onion address. Even better than being hosted offshore - where it is easy for Feds to identify the webhost offshore or not - it was *almost * impossible to find out where Silk Road was hosted. No one else could...
