    I understand where you are coming from, but realistically I've found that on a well structured 10x3 (4 compounds, 2x/wk building to 3x/wk after 3-4 wks, cycling the 10x3 thru the exersizes [exersize1 =10x3, exersizes 2,3, and 4=4x6; next time exersize 1, 3, and 4=4x6,exersize2=10x3ect.ect.]...

    There's some sage advice in this thread- i would just add that as a "noob" you will get further and learn more by picking a pre-existing time proven routine (5x5, 10x3, HST, ect. ect.....) and seeing it thru to it's completion . You will learn "experiencially" ( should be a word if it's not) ...

    Military press, seated or standing?

    I have done seated military,strict standing military,and pushpress . I get the most shoulder size and strength gains (as well as core and trap benefits)from pushpress (with accentuated negative) . Don't even get me started on clean and press ( even better IMHO)...

    So the texas power bar sleeve does fit the standard 1" plates ? I wasn't sure and google isn't helping much as far as specs. All my plates are the standard 1" holed type, I have too many pounds in plates to switch over to the OLY 2" holed format, it would be easier to just find the right...

    I've bent my barbell and am trying to find a good strong and stiff powerbar that will fit standard metal plates NOT the OLY 2"ers...any reccomendations? Thinking somewhere in the 200$U.S. range.

    yeah, you can lift and get a little bigger, but you can't be BIG and be a long distance runner. sorry, SAID principle comes into play. you give up one at the expense of the other.( duncans donuts) Pretty much sums it up IMO:)

    Nothing I'm reading in your descriptions seem out of the ordinary, your tri's will fail long before the pecs, just as your grip will fail long before posterior chain in deadlifts; this doesn't mean pecs or posterior chain isn't being hit and hit sufficiently in either case.Flyes as you've stated...

    There is no exersize specifically for the anterior delt that allows for the load capabilties of the military press.Plus lifting heavy weights up over your head has a primal satisfaction not found in the less effective iso's:D

    If you are natural , Arnolds book may not be the best reference ,to put it mildly.Are you seeing growth(pec) from the pressing but are thrown off so to speak by the "feel" of it hitting your tri's? Or has growth(again pec) been less than optimal and you are addressing that?:thinking:
