    absolutely, if you have exercise induced asthma. Doing both aerobic and anaerobic will make a difference.

    Just a suggestion but if he is new you might want to give him exercises that will give him confidence too. Pull ups and dips can sometimes be a little deflating on the ego to some... Just a thought

    Ah yes, those speed skaters definitely have some mass on those legs. Truly incredible. But I would think it a poor choice for the average joe to rely on sprints alone to put any gain on their legs. It would take a serious training routine with them to get a noticeable dfference it seems.
