how much time do i need to spare for a cutting program?

And I personally wouldn't touch either fat burners or intense cardio as they have both effected me adversely in the past.

how much time do i need to spare for a cutting program?

I believe you can cut your calories, but eat the wrong kinds of foods and not lose fat due to insulin spikes. Does that make sense? Like say someone was to eat foods with high G.I. values all the time. You see what I'm getting at?

how much time do i need to spare for a cutting program?

I disagree, partially anyway. You can cut back on your calories but if your eating the wrong kinds of foods, and still causing insulin spikes, your wasting your time.

    Cut routine - Need help

Add more cardio? Forget about it! I'd stop the cardio your doing now if I were you. Your martial arts training and weight training is enough, unless you want to start losing muscle as well as fat. The way you train isn't as important as how you eat. You need to get your diet in order. Learn...

how much time do i need to spare for a cutting program?

My goal is to be cut by June and I started January 1st. But I don't believe in doing any cardio more intense than brisk walking either. What's a typical day of the foods you eat look like? Diet is key.

    HST Results

For my first cycle I did 15's, 12's, 8's & 5's. Second cycle I did 12's, 9's, 6's & 6's. First I found all my max's, then set up each 2 week mini-cycle working up to my max's in approximately 5% increments. Yes, the first couple workouts of each rep range were relatively easy, but I think the...

    HST Results

I've only done 2 cycles so far, so that'd be 17 weeks, decon included. I'm 5'8" and went from 175 to 190, probably a 50/50 muscle & fat gain. I'm currently training HIT, but will be back to HST shortly as I'm once again cutting for summer, and I kinda do my workouts in a circuit style of...

    HST Results

I make good consistent progress with HST, but at 40, I do feel my joints more from the frequency that is required of full body workouts 3 days a week. This is why I cycle times of HST with times of HIT.

Help - Super Hard Gainer With Chicken Legs!

Interesting thread. I find pre-exhaustion big supersets work wonders for me. Here's a couple that come to mind when I think of quads. First one is: leg press/leg extension/squat Second would be: a drop set of leg extensions, immediately followed by a drop set of squats Everything is done...

Question about muscle gain and weight loss

Re: Re: Question about muscle gain and weight loss Here's something I'll be doing as my cut moves along. A circuit style workout, done HST style.

    Chest Gains

Personally, I think your reps are too high. I would pick 1 to 3 basic movements (incline bench press, flat bench press, parallel bar dip), and do 1-3 sets of each to total failure within the 6-10 rep range once every 5-7 days depending on how long it takes you to recover. Or you could always...

MY workouts for the next 3 or 4 weeks

Your welcome Scotty! P.S. I have Ellington Darden's book "High Intensity Bodybuilding" and it has stuff like that for almost every major body part if you or anyone else is interested.

MY workouts for the next 3 or 4 weeks

I try and choose weights that allow me to fail within the 8-12 rep range with each movement. That one is compliments of Ellington Darden Ph.D. Oh, and about that routine I e.mailed ya, I wasn't crazy about it, torcherous as hell, but I didn't see any improvements in size or strength from it...

MY workouts for the next 3 or 4 weeks

Bent-arm pullovers really pre-fatigue my lats well for either rows or chin-ups. You like big or giant sets? Here's a good one you can try on your back day: Do the following 4 exercises with no rest. Wide grip behind neck pull-up, then bent-over row, underhand grip, then bent-arm pullover...

MY workouts for the next 3 or 4 weeks

Actually this is more than I normally do. I usually only do 1 set of everything. Really? And my back is one of my strong points.

MY workouts for the next 3 or 4 weeks

Mondays 2 sets of each superset - a drop set of 30 degree incline flies immediately followed by a drop set of incline presses superset - lateral raise, bent-over lateral raise & a drop set of military press superset - drop set of pressdowns immediately followed by parallel bar dips then...
